Often in terms of "the thing I miss most about (place) is the breakfast tacos!", and/or put in a social media profile "Loves breakfast tacos, pugs, mountainclimbing, and well-executed side eye. Tee hee!" They must be stopped; this is tired and old. It's last year's "bacon".
Idiots who talk about "breakfast tacos" like they're the second coming of Jesus

People eat that stuff at breakfast? Jesus. What are they doing for a living, moving mountains?

They eat them and then talk about "burning off calories" in the gym later because god forbid someone eat food ever and enjoy it without justifying it or feeling guilty. "Oh I've been so bad!"

What ever happened to eating Mexican bread and hot Chocolate for breakfast ?? Or is that only at night?

My grandma used to give me barritas or churros with hot chocolate when I wanted sweets for breakfast.
Mmm strawberry barritas....

That's a lot of calories to start your day. I'm a fan of intermittent fasting myself. Nothing to eat from bedtime until early afternoon. I find I have more energy and I have lost 7-8 pounds in the process.

I love breakfast tacos and eat them frequently, but I agree, OP, no one needs to know about it.

I will never understand why people choose to wrap soft cooked or scrambled eggs in a tough wheat wrapper. The textures.... blech.
They're almost as sad as the "Cooked Mushroom On Raw Lettuce Salads" that I've been seeing around a lot lately.

Breakfast Mexican is so 1999.

You need better friends OP

Note to self: Flyoverstanis have discovered breakfast tacos. Likely outcomes: fast food commercials touting new pumpkin spice breakfast tacos during football games this fall; more articles on growing obesity epidemic; multiple posts on DL about the right amount of cheese to put on one's breakfast taco.

And protein shake burritos.

Get fancy and have your shrimp cocktail in a burrito!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 27, 2017 4:23 PM |
Maybe R11
Flyoverstanis seem to be more into things that say "protein" but actually have very little, like "protein enriched pasta" that has 6g of protein instead of 3g.
So more likely "protein burrito" that's the same egg-and-sausage-and-cheese (lots of protein there) with potatoes and fuckload of vegetable oil and salt and corn syrup.

And what do you eat for breakfast? Coffee and cigs.

I prefer a breakfast gyro.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 27, 2017 7:21 PM |
I prefer some cantaloupe with fresh mint and a glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 27, 2017 7:38 PM |
Why is this a topic?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 27, 2017 7:38 PM |
Perhaps, R17, because DL is infested with Taco Bell and McDonald's shills weekly.

My god, I have never had one but they look positively delish!! Where can I get one? I have had a McD's breakfast burrito, but they look nothing like the photo@OP. I have to have one NOW.

Go to Austin or San Antonio or anywhere in the Midwest and follow the sound of shrill. Or to any workplace where you have an annoying boss who brings in a bag of breakfast tacos and sends out a group email saying "Breakfast tacos in da houseeeee!" and suck ups reply-all "OMG!!! So what I needed today!!! Thank you Rog!!!!" and we all wish we were dead.

R18 yes a thread bashing them is somehow reverse-advertising them. You're too smart for us!
