Post bears here. No human bears, please.
R3, isn't that a monkey in bear-drag?
Blocked!

Hi! I'm hear for my brownies! Remember me? From yesterday? You gave me brownies and said "Anytime", remember? Hmm? Helloooo?

R12, ok, but you know I could never refuse you anything!

Bears are people, too!
"B" is for "Bear"!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 14, 2017 3:06 PM |
Bears are a neglected mammal. They should have a face-off with the best of the marsupials.

It was a beah. A cute, widdle teddy beah.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 28, 2017 12:43 AM |
Yogi Berra and Grisly Adams were not human, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 28, 2017 12:56 AM |
NO HUMAN BEARS, R40! NO EXCEPTIONS!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 28, 2017 1:52 AM |
[quote] NO HUMAN BEARS, R40! NO EXCEPTIONS!
But OP included them in his poll. He broke his own rule.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 28, 2017 2:09 AM |
OP is allowed to break his own rules, according to DataLounge section 005:234.221. I rest my case.

I think Edith was going through the change, in R44. Fortunately, she was over it by the following week's episode.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 28, 2017 4:19 AM |
This is Paddington Bear. I don't know what you people are thinking as disambiguation bear should clearly be the winner.
I'm so upset I initially posted this in the wrong thread.

by Anonymous | reply 55 | May 30, 2017 5:34 AM |
Well R55, R1, R14, R15, R30, R34, R44, R51 have shown me that a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

In fairness, R56, Russians aren't quite human. They might be Morg, though.

R57, and Russians are known for being unbearable.

I really have come to like black bears. They don't look too dangerous. They're very timid. They are a cool mammal that is otherwise not given enough press.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | July 11, 2017 1:04 AM |
R80, what link? Or what thread?
by Anonymous | reply 82 | July 11, 2017 1:05 AM |
Boo-Boo Bear deserves to be in the poll. Not the polar bear that the Christmas Moose has a crush on, I mean the friend of Yogi Bear.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | July 11, 2017 1:18 AM |
Love the pic-o-nic bear!

by Anonymous | reply 91 | July 17, 2017 11:52 PM |
I think so, R91! The bear can do percentages!
by Anonymous | reply 92 | July 18, 2017 12:05 AM |
But R92, a moose can be a docent at a zoo. I'm not sure a bear can do that.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | July 18, 2017 12:10 AM |
Yes, but there are no percentages in being a docent.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | July 18, 2017 12:14 AM |
R93, how is it you know when I post? Not that I mind at all. I feel like we're friends, of a sort. But I am curious. Are you Muriel?
by Anonymous | reply 95 | July 18, 2017 12:25 AM |
FOCM, I am most certainly not Muriel. I suppose you and I have some of the same interests and come upon the same threads. While I don't know any meese and am not even meese adjacent, I am very much interested in threads and posts about the Christmas Moose. So if I see a thread that may touch upon the Moose or meese in general, I respond.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | July 18, 2017 1:13 AM |
R96, I see. Well, no Bitcoins required to be a friend of Christmas Moose. He's very friendly, I promise!
by Anonymous | reply 98 | July 18, 2017 2:02 AM |
Good one, R97!
by Anonymous | reply 99 | July 18, 2017 2:07 AM |
Speaking of bitcoins, FOCM, the post at R94 got me thinking. Perhaps because the Moose's math skills are not as good as that of your average bear is why he was banned at Henny Penny after the unfortunate bitcoin incident and is only paid in peanuts by Mediapolis while the other DL mascots are paid in cash or, in the case of the Thanksgiving Otter, in liquor, otter prostitutes and the occasional meerkat whore (he's a kinky one that otter). Is he perhaps naive regarding the way the world operates specifically in financial terms?

[quote] I have to hold his money.
Is that because he has hooves?
by Anonymous | reply 107 | July 22, 2017 2:37 AM |
No, R107. Well, maybe, but he also tries to spend all his money on peanuts. I've seen him try to spend his peanuts on peanuts. He just doesn't understand the concept of money.

R117, I love the drama when a dog finally shakes the water off when he's wet (like this bear, with whom I have less experience). Often it's in the car. It's always a cause for yelling and screaming and wailing and moaning.
Not only do they do it in the wrong time & place, but they insist on being nearby, too. Oh, I miss all my doggies.

A black bear wandered down a creek to the beach near my house last week. People on the beach just watched him run around for a while. Wildlife services tried to shoo him back up the creek but he wasn't having it. Eventually they had to tranquilize him and when the vets found out how sick he was, they had to euthanize him.
Sad! (genuinely)
