Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska
I've been seeing him a lot on the cable news networks lately, and I kind of find him adorkable and a bit of a DILF.
Yes, he's a Republican. But he comes across as one of the smart ones, and not extremely partisan. Although I don't know much about him.
Can any Nebraskans weigh in?

Lol... here he is reading mean tweets about himself from Drumpf supporters.
Hilarious!

When he starts voting against the likes of Betsy DeVos, I'll give him another look. Until then he can take his veneer of respectability and shove it up his ass.

He very much approves of Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

Ben Sasse Positions, he is very right wing, but he has to be being a Republican from Nebraska

He had a very good response to Trump's "the US is not innocent" remark.
Sasse seems to be at least a bit more thoughtful than your average republican.

The below is from Crazy/Stupid Republican Insanity Tumblr
Sasse has stated his belief that “government cannot force citizens to violate their religious beliefs under any circumstances”
Perhaps he might change his mind when he realizes that some people commit honor killings and claim their religion justifies it.
In a campaign ad from January 2014, Ben Sasse made the lucrative suggestion that the U.S. Capitol should be moved into Nebraska, without any thought for the cost or logistics of moving the entire hub of our central government halfway across the country (and coincidentally into his state), claiming it would end gridlock in Washington. He finished up by claiming President Obama was a socialist, and that he would take on the Supreme Court if necessary (showing that he might not understand how it actually works):
he wants to ban all abortion and most forms of birth control, because life begins at conception and is not just, as he puts it, “a blob of cells”
April 3rd, 2015: Sasse and several other prominent Republican senators file a brief with the Supreme Court to not rule in “reject gay marriages”.

Sasse is anti Trump but that is because he is far far right wing, not because he is a reasonable person. He is probably to the right of Mike Pence and his anti Trump stance is probably just a publicity thing, if he was just another Republican Senator instead of the anti Trump Senator, virtually no one outside the state of Nebraska would have ever heard of him.

OP, If you are going to lust after a Republican Senator, Jeff Flake Republican Senator from Arizona is probably a better choice. I am not saying it is a good choice just a much better choice than Ben Sasse.

OP, Sasse's cat OBVIOUSLY detests him, and I trust its judgment over yours.

R5 here. He was my professor at UT Austin around 2009-2010. We went to the same gym. I've gotten a whiff, more than once, of his stinky socks/feet as he changed into gym clothes. No, I did not hook up with him, nor do I have a feet or sock fetish. And no, I haven't seen his dick.

Blech... that's totally gross R17.
R15, was Flake on Survivor or something? He does have a nice body, though.

I'd rather have Joshua Sasse.

I worked with him before he was Senator. It was a bipartisan/nonpartisan affair. I think he is mainly offended by Trump's incurious, anti-intellectual mindset.

He is not cute; what is OP smoking?

He hates Trump, and says he thinks everyday about leaving the Republican Party.
He also pings a bit to me.
What are other people’s opinions of this conservative Senator?

He's one of the most partisan members OP. He likes to tweet out things that suggest maybe he is above partisanship, but he has not once ever voted seperately from the GOP in any issue of consequence ever. Don't take his messaging at face value.

Sassy thinks Trump is "vulgar," but he votes right down the party line for whatever Trump wants. He's bullshit in a DILFy wrapper.

Outside of Collins, Murkowski, and Mccain, you also have Kennedy, Flake, Corker, Paul, and even Portman who will OCCASIONALLY buck the GOP. Sasse literally never has, not once

"Sasse seems to be at least a bit more thoughtful than your average republican. "
Which is not saying much.
OP is trying to Nice-ify a Rethug. Sasse is fence-sitting and a double agent of deceit.
They ALL vote and act according to their demon master.
Fuck him, fuck OP, fuck you.

R18 Flake takes his kids to a deserted island where they fend for themselves for a week once a year.

Ben Sasse will use a lot of nice sounding words to get himself publicity, but when it comes to what is real he ALWAYS votes to support the Trump agenda.
