Have had a crush on him since '90s. He is that rarity -- an actor who appeals to men and women. Wish he'd do more serious dramas. If you haven't seen The Hunt, watch it immediately. Fantastic movie and he's great as the lead.

he's an interesting actor. As Hannibal Lecter he suffered in comparison to Anthony Hopkins, who was able to convey both Lecter's intense charm and evil--Mikkelsen is just not charismatic enough to do either. But he is unusual looking (in a good way), and he is a decent actor.

Not charismatic enough?!? I hardly think so. Actually, neither Mads nor Hopkins did as good a job with Hannibal as Brian Cox did in Manhunter.
