I've loved this movie since I was 10 and too young to even watch it. The homoeroticism, the special effects, the dialogue, sexy Chris Sarandon, the awesome Stephen Geoffreys, hammy Roddy McDowall...it's just awesome. The Colin Farrell remake pales by comparison.
Let's talk about the 1985 vampire flick FRIGHT NIGHT

A cool coincidence that out actors Stephen Geoffreys and Amanda Bearse also co-starred together in the 1985 T&A comedy Fratetnity Vacation.

No, let's talk about what a homophobic asshole you are and what fucking nerve you have starting a thread about a Roddy McDowall movie after dragging out one of the oldest, vilest, most easily discredited stereotypes of gays and projecting your own racism onto those who have the balls to call out homophobes in the manner that they fucking deserve.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 8, 2017 5:35 PM |
Only a homophobe would call Roddy McDowall a ham.

I love Fright Night!

R2 is the lynching poster from that Kim B. Thread.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 8, 2017 5:37 PM |
OP/R5 is a fake-gay projecting his own racism onto real gays while flinging hate speech at us. Don't believe me? Click ignore on it and compare what you find to R2. It isn't pretty, but the men in this movie are.
And homophobia is a lynchable offense in this gay man's book.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 8, 2017 5:54 PM |
So we are going to discuss the OP and not the actual film, right?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 8, 2017 5:58 PM |
No, we'll start a different thread about it instead. This one is closed.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 8, 2017 5:59 PM |
Direct all discussion about the film to this thread, please.

Dude, you're calling black people n*ggers and she-b**ns on that same thread.

[quote]Dude, you're calling homophobic black people n*ggers and she-b**ns on that same thread as payback for their homophobia
Fixed, and the more they bash gays the more gays will bash back.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 8, 2017 6:05 PM |
Where are the black people in this movie, huh, R10? I bet Sony-baloney will remake it with Kevin fucking Hart or Nate fucking Parker or some other str8 black gentile male homophobe who gets away with anti-gay shit because slaveryjimcrow. They've had civil rights for 50 years and now they want to disenfranchise us? Fuck that fucking shit. What goes around comes around and if you don't like racial slurs, then STOP FUCKING CONTRIBUTING TO SYSTEMIC HOMOPHOBIA AND STOP HIDING BEHIND THE MADE-UP BULLSHIT A BIGOTED HERETIC DEATH CULT TO JUSTIFY YOUR SUPERSTITIOUS ANTI-GAY BIGOTRY or you will get called every bad name in the book.
And as the above has proved, OP was the one engaging in an anti-gay hate brigade in the other thread.

Veteran actor Art J. Evans has a role as a lieutenant

To the unhinged loon at R12, the OP clearly posted what he did in opposition to the poisonous, racist hatred you've been posting in that other thread. And by the way, the other thread on this topic that you started is lame. Now, on to the topic at hand...
I like this movie too. The best scene is probably the one where Sarandon metaphorically "pops Amanda Bearse's cherry" when he bites the heck out of her neck. Her groans in that scene are epic.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 8, 2017 6:42 PM |
Gays cannot be racist because racism = prejudice + power and gays do not have the power to oppress. Neither do Jews. Heterosexuals and gentiles do and they use it at every fucking opportunity. Any and all forms of verbal retaliation for anti-gay hate speech are justified and always will be NO MATTER FUCKING WHAT.
And l*m* is an ableist slur. You, R16, are a bigot like OP. Fuck off quisling. There's a perfectly good thread to talk about the actual movie without your anti-gay hate speech and psychological projection.
WILL YOU FUCKING BREEDERS AND GOYIM SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT EVERYTHING FOR THE REST OF FUCKING TIME, WHICH WON'T BE VERY LONG IF YOU DON'T SHUT THE MOTHERFUCKING GODDAMN HELL UP?
Thread CLOSED!

Help me understand why the OP was redacted. I dont see what's wrong with it. Were there pieces edited out that I can't see?

Because as the pic at R2 shows he was also posting a lot of anti-gay hate speech while projecting racism onto others for calling out anti-gay hate speech in the only language they understand.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 8, 2017 6:52 PM |
The lunatic at R17 doesn't even know if the OP is black, despite the ugly racist barbs he's throwing at him. He's insane. Have you seen the ugly photos he's posted in that Kim Burrell thread?

No, it isn't.

The disco scene from FRIGHT NIGHT was filmed on the same set as the "Relax" scene from BODY DOUBLE.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 8, 2017 7:00 PM |
R20, you are an ableist prick so you have no right calling anyone racist. I'm gay, I'm Jewish and I grew up in the South. If anyone should have the last word on what is and isn't offensive for EVERYONE, it's me.
[quote]Have you seen the ugly photos he's posted in that Kim Burrell thread?
It's a reminder of the ugly history of racism in America and how the descendants of its survivors are now perpetuating homophobia using the same book of lies and hate speech racist whites used to defend slavery and segregation. Talk about the pot calling the kettle, well you know how that saying goes.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 8, 2017 7:07 PM |
You've got a lot of nerve str8splaining condescending we-shall-overcome platitudes to out a gay man for calling out an anti-gay black bitch on her vile homophobic hate speech while turning around and using hate speech against the differently abled. People kill themselves because of shit like that. She has the blood of gay black men and women on her hands and so does that fat pig James Manning.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 8, 2017 7:12 PM |
I get rid of the racist OP/R5 and suddenly the thread gets cut in half.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 8, 2017 7:14 PM |
The OP's not racist, the one shouting "GOY" and "N-GGER" is.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 8, 2017 7:23 PM |
Why does it seem like OP and her critic are the same batshit crazy person? Do I detect a whiff of bowel in this thread?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 8, 2017 7:49 PM |
I just learned that Amanda Bearse is a lesbian and married to a woman. I would have never guessed that. She didn't ping at all in the movie.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 21, 2017 11:49 PM |
I love this movie. Put all deranged trolls on ignore.

Just so you guys know, the swole saxaphone player in LOST BOYS was Timmy Cappello, much more famous for being Tina Turner's eye candy saxaphonist.
Verkochte fegele director Joel Schumacher must have seen Cappello performing with Tina Turner and become dickmatized.
