Was Peppermint Patty considered good looking in her day?

No one ever seems to refer to her looks in all the stuff that's said about her.

People usually ascribed "cute" to Sally.

Marcie might have run a close second. Peppermint Patty mostly made people of the era uncomfortable.

She really came into her own by the late eighties, though.

My sister tried to emulate PP during that era. I think she did ok.

The shade of it all... I am cracking up, OP!

She was babealicious.

Peppermint was only a nickname, her real name was Spearmint.

The Thanksgiving episode always bothered me as a child. She was so pushy.

Peppermint Patty was just a girl version of Charlie Brown. The only difference is she was good at sports. Otherwise they were the same.

This girl I knew named Barbara always reminded me of Peppermint Patty. Barbara did not turn out to be a lesbian.

She was an ardent Mitchfester in later years and wore a wisp of a beard.

PP was never considered pretty back in the day. She was what they politely described as a handsome young woman. She did have a makeover and went through a Miley Cyrus stage but has reverted to her old classic look which never ages. Kind of like Coco Chanel.

P Patty and Marcie were lovers.

Truth be told, none of those Peanuts kids was a looker. Cute dog, though.

I thought Schroeder was okay-looking, but I've always liked classical piano.

by Anonymousreply 14August 11, 2019 1:48 PM

Schroeder and Linus were quite cute. NONE of the girls were. And Charlie Brown was ... well, Charlie Brown.

by Anonymousreply 15August 11, 2019 4:03 PM

Sir was quite handsome, and cut a dashing figure.

by Anonymousreply 16August 11, 2019 5:33 PM

Would it have killed her to run a brush through her hair, or put on a little lipstick?
