If we can have a thread about James Naughton of all people, then why not this guy?
Really HOT in Apartment Zero.

He never married?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 22, 2016 2:17 PM |
Hot but he didn't have a large enough oeuvre for discussion here. We may as well talk about a favorite GQ model of the 1980s.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 22, 2016 2:46 PM |
Weren't his teeth kind of gummy? He might have got that fixed later.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 22, 2016 4:26 PM |
Looked a lot like Alex O'Loughlin.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 22, 2016 4:28 PM |
He once dated Sharon Stone and later referred to her as the Antichrist In People magazine.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 22, 2016 4:33 PM |
He looks like he might have a very hairy anus
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 22, 2016 4:39 PM |
Gorgeous man and a good actor. Don't know why he didn't make more films.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 22, 2016 4:44 PM |
Daddy was no slouch in the looks department, either.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 22, 2016 4:59 PM |
He was sexy in Breaking Away.

Speaking of which, R4, Hart was on the cover of my favorite issue of GQ, the one that introduced Michael Ives as a model.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 23, 2016 6:30 AM |
He was excellent in Die Hard as the prick who's in over his head.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 23, 2016 6:35 AM |
Wasn't he in the Pia Zadora classic, 'The Lonely Lady'?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 23, 2016 10:08 AM |
So fucking hot in Apartment Zero. As a teen in the 80s that movie spoke to me. I was the gay movie buff with mother issues totally in love with the dark haired straight boy. I wanted them to get together so badly in the end.
Haven't watched it in years. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 23, 2016 10:53 AM |
I don't remember that cover, r14. Is that a real cover? As a 90 year old whipper snapper, I had every issue, but don't remember Hart on the cover of GQ.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 24, 2016 5:17 PM |
No, I made it with my Etch-a-Sketch, R18.
Seriously, it's the February, 1980, issue of GQ.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 24, 2016 5:21 PM |
Hart in the 1983 miniseries The Winds of War, which is where he hooked up with Sharon Stone (she played his wife).
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 24, 2016 5:25 PM |
Saw him at Brentwood country mart. Did a double take when I walked by. Suspect he might be into guys.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 24, 2016 6:43 PM |
[quote]Suspect he might be into guys.
That's what I've always heard about HART. Of course, now at 60 years of age his better days are behind him.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 24, 2016 6:48 PM |
Is that him at 60?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 24, 2016 6:51 PM |
I actually hope I look that good at 60.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 24, 2016 7:28 PM |
I wish I looked that good now.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 24, 2016 9:37 PM |
Never understood why he doesn't work more. How does he make a living, there are like YEARS between acting gigs
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 24, 2016 9:51 PM |
One of the sexiest guys ever. Last time I saw him was a few years ago in the ill advised remake of Carrie playing bitchy Chris' lawyer father. That was actually one of the better scenes in the film.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 24, 2016 10:36 PM |
R20 Hart played Byron Henry in War and Remembrance. His wife, Natalie Jastrow, was played by Jane Seymour. Sharon Tate played Byron's brother Warren's wife, Janice.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 24, 2016 10:48 PM |
Sharon Tate was alive in 1983???? And ACTING???????
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 24, 2016 10:54 PM |
Canadian kosher meat. And yes, he's gay.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 24, 2016 11:08 PM |
He's actually older than 60, but looks pretty damn good for his age.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 24, 2016 11:37 PM |
Rumor has it that Hart is bisexual, not straight.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 24, 2016 11:39 PM |
And you know he's lying about his age HOW, R31?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 24, 2016 11:40 PM |
R29, Sharon Tate was in a non-speaking role.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 24, 2016 11:57 PM |

My favorite shot of him in the movie
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 25, 2016 4:58 AM |
Hea a hottie.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 25, 2016 6:03 AM |
Why didn't he ever marry?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 25, 2016 6:44 AM |
R26 He makes ends meet between acting gigs by working as a Color Me Beautiful consultant. My friend was "draped" by him a couple of years ago and discovered that he's a Winter. Says Hart is very businesslike but friendly.

[quote]So fucking hot in Apartment Zero. As a teen in the 80s that movie spoke to me.
Me too. I watched him in another movie, and some woman told her kids, who was with her in the theater that he was their daddy.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 25, 2016 7:12 AM |
Bochner first came to my attention playing an asshole cop in the forgettable, but kinda funny The Wild Life (1984). Hart was the prettiest cast member on a list that also included Lea Thompson, Eric Stoles, Chris Penn and Jenny Wright. He sure made for one hot cop.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 25, 2016 8:26 AM |
The first thing I remember him in was TERROR TRAIN. He had an ambiguously gay relationship with Jamie Lee Curtis' boyfriend in it. They were frat brothers. The audience reaction was palpable.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 25, 2016 10:29 AM |
Son of Canadian actor Lloyd Bochner and for all the anti-Semites on DL lately, yes, he's Jewish.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 25, 2016 2:40 PM |
It does NOT add up....I remember him from Apartment Zero and looked forward to seeing him lots more...then nothing. I am kind of shocked at his 60 y/o pics , he looks good but I I remember him as the guy in Apartment Zero. Hot and Jewish...it's a mystery why he didn't go farther in Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 25, 2016 2:57 PM |
The first boy I fell in love with was of Ukranian Jewish ancestry, like Hart (also Russian Jewish). Unfortunately, he was straight, but that's always been "my type," Ashkenazim.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 25, 2016 3:03 PM |
Nice booty as the evil fratboy in "Breaking Away"

Jane and Hart in 1984 mini series The Sun Also Rises

With Rachel Ward as a murderer in The Sea Will Tell.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 25, 2016 4:57 PM |
A major hottie, decent actor too. It's a mystery to me why he didn't have a bigger career. Still looks great, with maybe a little hairdo repair the only thing needed. Would that I could say as much!
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 3, 2016 9:04 PM |
He's an environmentalist. Sits on several boards and lectures.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 4, 2016 1:20 AM |
Anyone on here done the dirty deed with this guy? (Or at least sucked him off?)
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 6, 2018 4:03 PM |
Yeah, r45, he played a jerk in "Breaking Away" but he was so hot in those red speedos.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 6, 2018 4:12 PM |
Someone on another thread (I can't locate it) has said that they hooked up with him.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 6, 2018 4:18 PM |
My fantasy as a closeted gayling. Good for the guy who claims to have hooked up with him — if true.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 6, 2018 4:51 PM |
Funny seeing him play the husband of Jane Seymour after she played his mother in the "East of Eden" tv miniseries.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 6, 2018 5:21 PM |
In the thread about celebrities you used to love but hated after meeting them, someone who worked with celebs said that he was awful.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 6, 2018 5:33 PM |
I knew Hart many years ago (we went to college together) -- he was always a good guy to hang with, and was (and is) very straight. The only weird thing was that when we went to bars, all the women would immediately start to come on to him so much so that it made everyone else feel, well, left out and jealous. He didn't ask for it. He was just that beautiful.
A non-religious Jew, he was also very cool about just about everyone and everything. Weird that he made that horrible PCU movie which was mean to everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | September 6, 2018 5:53 PM |
Aren't good comedies supposed to be mean to everyone? If you're just mean to one particular group, it comes off as mean spirited, but if you throw everyone under the bus, it feels less cruel.
I've always found him stunningly attractive and he was a good actor, too.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 6, 2018 6:09 PM |
Reunited with his Apartment Zero co-star Colin Firth.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | September 6, 2018 6:27 PM |
Lloyd Bochner as "Sessil" gave us one of the most gloriously camp TV moments of all time.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | September 6, 2018 6:32 PM |
He starred with Dana Delaney in "Baby For Sale" in 2004.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | September 6, 2018 6:43 PM |
He’s shirtless a lot in The Sea Will Tell, but the hair ruins it.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | September 6, 2018 6:47 PM |
R15 I jacked off over that issue of GQ so many times I thought I would break my dick. I would give anything to see that issue today. R61 no one is very straight. That makes me doubt your story.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | September 6, 2018 8:22 PM |
And me r72 - r61 just happened to go to college with him. Sounds a bit like Fiona Fangurl and her fantasies - very straight indeed.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | September 6, 2018 9:06 PM |
I think he's kind of like Matt Bomer. Spectacularly handsome but not especially interesting.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | September 6, 2018 10:42 PM |
I see what you're saying, r74, but I found Hart very sexy whereas, although Bomer is incredibly handsome, I don't find him sexy at all. To each his own, I guess.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | September 6, 2018 10:49 PM |
Does anybody know what those pictures at r50 are from? The ones of him shirtless in the pool with the mustache? I had been told they were from the 1993 TV movie called Complex of Fear, that has him playing a cop with that same mustache, but I found that movie online and there is no scene like that in it!
by Anonymous | reply 76 | September 6, 2018 10:52 PM |
He’s sex on a stick.. have always found him hot. Anyone who’s fucked him is one lucky bitch!
by Anonymous | reply 77 | September 7, 2018 12:13 AM |
R61, sorry...you could not be more incorrect.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | September 7, 2018 4:08 AM |
R79 Prove me wrong!
by Anonymous | reply 79 | September 8, 2018 11:44 PM |
Back then Tammy Cruise was straight too. You can't draw conclusions from the 70s. The gay scene was too new to people.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | September 8, 2018 11:57 PM |
A nice piece with photos of a scantily clad Hart Bochner from the 1980s boating with Barry Diller.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | March 22, 2019 1:37 PM |
He defeated himself with that clunky name. He was beautiful, but there was not a lot of sizzle before the camera.
And then the name just makes it worse.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | March 22, 2019 1:56 PM |
Tell me about it.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | March 22, 2019 2:41 PM |
The lips, the face, the bod. He looked like a porn actor in The Wild Life.

Yachting in Speedo with Barry Diller? Totally straight
by Anonymous | reply 86 | June 13, 2019 11:12 PM |
R81, I don’t know who that guy is, but it ain’t Hart, that’s for sure.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | June 13, 2019 11:17 PM |
Old article, pretty interesting:
1.He's a Dem who mocked Nancy Reagan, which makes me kinda like him
2.He turned out to be what he supposedly didn't want to be - A fiftysomething bachelor: “I’m not interested in putting notches in my belt, and I’d much prefer to be by myself than with somebody I’m not absolutely crazy about.” The idea of marriage and a family, he adds, “is absolutely critical to the welfare of my life. I don’t want to be a 50-year-old bachelor, and I don’t want to be a geriatric when my kids grow up.”
by Anonymous | reply 88 | August 21, 2019 4:05 AM |
Did his career go down the shitter when people found out he was family?

by Anonymous | reply 91 | August 21, 2019 5:57 PM |
Wasn't Hart in those pictures with Diller.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | August 21, 2019 6:03 PM |
That isn’t Hart in those pictures, but R61 is definitely full of shit about him being “very straight”. “Was (and is) very straight”—yeah, right. You went to college with him in this thread; in another thread you just hung out with him in Hollywood a few times.
Why even go to the trouble of lying about a 60-year-old bi guy you obviously don’t know anything about.
