There are so many people who are prominent in the media that, for some strange reason, forget about whitening and straightening their bottom teeth. Ironically, as people age, their lower teeth become more prominent as the skin sags around them.

The reason why the lower teeth are not done is because dentists and aestheticians will give you the line that "nobody sees your lower teeth" if they get the feeling you won't spring for the cash to do the whole grill.

It's a lot easier to keep upper dentures in your mouth than it is to keep lower dentures in. Back in the days when people didn't have the luxury of crowns, bridges and implants but had tooth decay, they had all of their top teeth pulled and had upper dentures made. But few had lower dentures made because they hurt, didn't fit right and popped out a lot due to a lack of suction.

Now you can get lower dentures that screw onto a few implants, but I don't know if they also hurt and don't quite fit as well as the uppers.
