Makes Neil Patrick Harris look great
Another manifestation of his miserable mid-life crisis.

Pretty gay
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 7, 2016 11:58 PM |
He was hot in F Troop and Mayberry RFD
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 7, 2016 11:59 PM |
R1, at least Jackie got to cry on Donahue's shoulder.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 8, 2016 12:03 AM |
How else would I have known, r4,
cRaZy eyes
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 8, 2016 12:07 AM |
He looks like a piece of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. In every way.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 8, 2016 12:22 AM |
CBS probably threw this his way as a lame form of compensation for canceling Mayberry RFD, a Top Ten hit, a year earlier in their famous Rural Purge.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 8, 2016 12:25 AM |
Mayberry RFD was unwatchable. Bait and switch.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 8, 2016 12:30 AM |
GetTV is showing the Jim Nabors Hour, which was a similar situation-- Gomer Pyle was still a top-rated show but Nabors wanted to do a variety show.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 8, 2016 12:44 AM |
Wow is right. I never realized Ken Berry was black.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 8, 2016 12:59 AM |
Poor Ken. He was a Gene Kelly wannabe. Even rolled his sleeves like Gene on Mayberry RFD.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 8, 2016 1:12 AM |
He did a dance number on a Carol Burnett show that was very Gene Kelly and he was quite good.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 8, 2016 1:18 AM |
I wonder if Doris Day hates Carol Burnett. That took sides in that nasty divorce.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 8, 2016 1:28 AM |
He was handsome when young, versatile and ended up on Mama's Place, or whatever it was called, which paid the bills. He never remarried.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 8, 2016 1:54 AM |
More like Bow Wow Show. If it were any more of a dog, it would shed.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 8, 2016 5:16 AM |
R7 The Wow Show was on ABC, not CBS.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 8, 2016 5:17 AM |
One of the regulars introduced at the beginning was "Cheryl Stopplemoor," who later became much more famous as Cheryl Ladd.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 8, 2016 5:19 AM |
It had Cheryl Ladd, Terri Garr and Steve Martin on it, so it couldn't be all that bad.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 8, 2016 3:53 PM |
She's Cheryl Ladd TV Star Woman --- Woooo
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 8, 2016 7:56 PM |
Neil could've made it work
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 13, 2017 12:20 PM |
Neil would have at least presented his hole.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 13, 2017 12:39 PM |
He was a good dancer and much more loose in the hips than Kelly and Astaire which added another dimension to the traditional tap routine. He was built very similar to Kelly, though he always read as earnest and dopey, there was always a bit of darkness underneath Kelly's venear that I think was part of his appeal.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 13, 2017 1:14 PM |
Ken was always ugly, I hate when the suits decide someone is good looking when they isn't.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 13, 2017 4:05 PM |
Rue McClanahan said dancing with Ken Berry was one of the highlights of her career.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 14, 2017 12:28 AM |
He was actually a great dancer...just born a couple decades too late. Here he is with a lot of really pretty mens...
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 14, 2017 12:37 AM |
R26 -- That dancing stud with the dark hair behind Ken -- smokin' hot. Does anyone know who he is? Or was? I swear I've seen him before in similar shows, the Oscars, etc..
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 14, 2017 4:44 AM |
Ken's Archive of American Television interview is very sad. He thinks he's completely forgotten, and, yes he says he was born too late for his particular talents to be appreciated.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 14, 2017 5:01 AM |
The canned laughter, the dubbed signing and tap sounds, just awful.
I really hated television in those days.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 14, 2017 6:12 AM |
I loved him and Larry Storch on “F Troop”.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 14, 2017 6:25 AM |
Have you ever wondered why variety shows were popular back in the 60s and 70s, but every time they try to revive the concept it fails miserably?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 14, 2017 6:31 AM |
I just saw him guest star in an episode of “The Rifleman.”
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 14, 2017 6:34 AM |
That's pretty corny even for 1972.
But too bad that wasn't Billy Van's big break- he was extremely talented [see Hilarious House of Frightenstein].
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 14, 2017 6:41 AM |
I love Mayberry RFD. And the color episodes of Andy Griffith when he's grumpy . I wish they'd put some of these on MeTV or TVland. I have now seen every b/w episode of TAGS 15 times or so. Like The Dick van Dyke show I can't watch it for a while.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 14, 2017 6:50 AM |
Awful, but nothing makes NPH look great.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 14, 2017 6:59 AM |
r25
I bet starring in Apple Pie was the other. A highlight for Rue must be equivalent of coming in second place in the fifth grade sack race.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 14, 2017 9:38 AM |
He awful
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 27, 2021 12:42 PM |
Looks like Pete Buttigieg.
