Joyce was much prettier than Suzanne. Joyce ruined her looks with the ill advised nose job(s). Suzanne Somers had a very average looking face.
In the long debate of Ginger vs Mary Ann, Mary Ann always wins by a wide margin. But yeah, Ginger was portrayed as the sex symbol at the time it was originally airing.

Dawn Wells was never 'the ugly one." She was cute as hell. A lot of men preferred her Mary Ann to Tina Louise's Ginger.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 27, 2017 4:13 PM |
R45, I didn't realize how pretty Mary Ann was until years later. Ginger overshadowed her. Kinda like a trans woman to a naturally born woman.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 27, 2017 4:22 PM |
I am guessing this one has already been mentioned - while Bailey (Jan Smithers) was never considered ugly all the men drooled over Jennifer (Lonnie Anderson) on WKRP. I thought Lonnie was actually great as Jennifer and she was a great character, but always felt she looked more like a caricature or mannequin.
