Best Fitting Men's Khakis or Slacks
by Anonymous | reply 125 | February 23, 2023 7:03 AM |
Bill's Khakis. But the slenderest fit they have. The full cut will swim on you. And with your hot ass, we wouldn't want that.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 15, 2015 9:13 PM |
Are you a great big, fat person, OP
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 16, 2015 4:46 AM |
OP, I'm 6'1", 175 with a nice ass & go exclusively with Reaction by Kenneth Cole. I love the fit, super comfortable, easy care, and nicely accentuates the booty.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 16, 2015 4:51 AM |
Every guy over 40 should wear khakis (Dockers or similar) or slacks. Blue jeans are for younger people, and are designed to have others look at your ass. There comes a time in everyone's life when your ass is something that should not bring attention to itself. I know, in your deluded mind, you're still hot at 63.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 16, 2015 4:53 AM |
Best fitting is a wholly subjective assessment based on your specific body measurements.
That said, there is usually a correlation between how well cut clothing is and cost. It's more expensive to have better fitting garmets which have more shape and contour.
That said, if you're overweight, you probably don't want form fitting.
Best advice if you really want to have well-fitting clothes is to buy pants made of material you find comfortable and something that fits your most oddly proportioned body part (if you have big thighs, big but, etc), then have the pants tailored.
But, seriously - who are you, Jake from State Farm?

by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 16, 2015 12:30 PM |
I wont even wear creased pants. Flat front only
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 16, 2015 12:32 PM |
Bonobos makes excellent fitting pants. I'm not sure what they do but the cut is great and really accentuates my butt.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 16, 2015 12:34 PM |
Professionals wear dress trousers, never khakis. Khakis just announce "Hello, I'll be your server today".
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 16, 2015 12:35 PM |
R9, you may not wear pleats, but there are plenty of them on racks and shelves.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 16, 2015 12:50 PM |
Oh yeah, but I don't see many young dudes wearing pleats today. We don't even like creases

Khakis or any dress pants WITHOUT PLEATS ....PLEATS =OLD DUDES wear them
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 16, 2015 7:14 PM |
Khakis or slacks whatever looks better dudes AND Khakis with pleats should be donated to the Salvation Army and replaced by plain-front ones.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 16, 2015 7:22 PM |
R11 thanks for the Bonobos recommendation. I've always wondered what their pants were like.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 16, 2015 7:27 PM |
I saw a real hot looking young man wearing khakis with pleats the other day. It made me wonder if they were coming back, since he had a nice sense of fashion. But no question, if you're not pretty thin, pleats just make you look fat.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 16, 2015 7:31 PM |
I agree with the dude on Uniqlo for khakis and dress pants...reasonably priced well constructed fit my ass great ;) and they fit perfect and NO PLEATS!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 16, 2015 8:05 PM |
Pleats are beside the point. Khaki pants are what employers like low-level employees to wear so that they will appear servile yet presentable and non-threatening to higher-class customers. Wouldn't be caught dead in them myself.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 17, 2015 12:04 AM |
All the dudes that were for tech firms in my generation are wearing khakis and making over $50k a year some close to a $100k khakis are alright with me a comfortable

I got to Walmart and get a two pack of George men's flat front pants for $25.00. I buy a size bigger. My sister who loves to sew then tailors them to my exact size. I get nothing but compliments. But they're quality pants at a more than reasonable price so the gays won't like them.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 17, 2015 1:01 AM |
I want slacks that don't feature my tight snatch, nothing risqué! If so, then the sex maniacs come out and chase you!

by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 17, 2015 2:26 AM |
You need to make statement with what you wear. I like these (picture below) slacks. Yes, before you say it, they are a little high waisted. Howver, consider that the trendy the patterns work great with any shoes you wear...even platform shoes. Tight around all the important parts, yet breathable, as all 100% polyester clothing is. The flare bottoms make them great for work, the club, or weekend wear in Ptown, Fire Island or Rehoboth Beach.
All of this for only $14.95. At that price you can buy 3 of each pattern.

by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 17, 2015 2:50 AM |
I'm a nurse and I by all of my scrubs at Walmart. They are the same, sometimes even better quality, than I can find in the expensive uniform stores, and I save 50% to 75% on the price. Why would I waste so much money on a name brand ? And like the previous poster said, no one can tell the difference.

Bonobos Graham Slackers. $66
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 17, 2015 2:58 AM |
I have muscular legs/thighs and a big ass and can never find pants that are comfortable. Everything is too tapered for me. I have resorted to buying a size up like Walmart guy has suggested. I guess I should just start getting them tailored. r35 Im looking at Mossimo pants on Target's website and they to look too slim fit.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 17, 2015 3:13 AM |

This is one of those threads that makes me infinitely glad that my employer banned the wearing of skinny jeans. Sure, there were some crying queens in the toilet, being denied their opportunity to flash their tiny junk and nasty bony legs, but at least we all got spared the sight of Ryan from accounts' nasty ass-jiggle as he ran down the office in his red skinny "Levi jeans" (bitch, I know you got those at Tesco).

Bonobos, the online retail company that got its start by offering men's pants free from the woes of "khaki diaper butt," announced Thursday that its founder, CEO and Chairman Andy Dunn, would be stepping down (or, as the company press release describes it, "stepping up") from his role as CEO after eight years and assuming the role of Executive Chairman. Francine ("Fran") Della Badia, formerly the president of Coach's retail division in North America, will be taking on the role of CEO, effective June 1.

I just bought first pair of Bonobos. They are slim fit, blue. I love them, however, my D1 slim fit flat front Dockers fit even better, and are wrinkle-free.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | July 8, 2015 3:58 PM |
Every once in a while you get lucky and find a brand that gets pretty close to what you’re looking for. For me, in terms of chinos, that has been J.Crew. I favor a slim cut and don’t mind pants being a little tight around the thigh, and have found the 484 fit to be pretty much ideal. It works for me in situations from business to casual to just hanging out. I know that fit isn’t for everyone and I also know that there are definitely guys with bigger quads than me. If you have larger thighs but still want a slimmer fitting pant, I would recommend trying J.Crew’s Urban Slim Fit on for size. They are definitely wider in the thigh while still being slim and tapered.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | August 6, 2015 11:40 PM |
I live in the South and wear J Crew's lightweight urban fit. I do not a brand label above the rear pocket like Docker's and Banana Republic.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | August 7, 2015 12:47 AM |
I love threads like this because they point out the diversity of the posters on here.
You've got people working in office parks in small midwestern cities who find Penney's a better choice than Walmart and NYC and LA media types who only shop at Barneys and then everyone in between.
What's appropriate varies tremendously from place to place and from work environment to work environment. Nothing is sadder than an older man trying to look hip, followed only by an older man who looks like he's given up.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | August 7, 2015 9:13 PM |
I envy people who can just buy a size and that's that. Like I said I have to buy one to two sizes up and have them tailored because my legs are just too big.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | August 7, 2015 9:38 PM |
I love seeing a nice bulge or tent - or even better, a noticeable VPL - in a pair of khakis.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 7, 2015 10:10 PM |
Me too r67. I look way better in wider legged pants, but they have all but disappeared from the face of the earth since the skinny trend has taken over.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 7, 2015 10:44 PM |
I look at guys over 16 wearing those skinny jeans and pants and wondering how they do it. I would need the material of at least both legs to cover one of my legs.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | August 7, 2015 10:47 PM |
Given that most American men are pretty large, who is buying all those tight pants? I am pretty slim (31 waist) and a lot of pants/jeans feel tight to me, on my thighs and calves and I don't have beefy legs. What do bigger guys do?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 7, 2015 10:55 PM |
I'm not fat either. I'm 6' 3" and 205lbs. I'm 28. I played hockey and still ma an avid biker and was in the military. I've never overly trained my legs they're just still athletic. I just don't get how men can stay in those skinny jeans. I get uncomfortable just looking at them. I've had to have every pair of pants since about High School tailored for my legs. The upside is you don't walk around in something that doesn't look right on you.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 7, 2015 11:01 PM |
Whenever I buy clothes online, my size is very often sold out (I'm a 28" or 29" waist), but the larger sizes are always in stock or even the only available sizes, so apparently a lot of guys are either lying to themselves and squeezing into too tight pants, there are more slim guys out there than appearances would suggest or manufacturers make really limited supplies of smaller-sized clothes.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | August 8, 2015 12:13 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 75 | August 8, 2015 1:47 AM |
Anything on the rack R75.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | August 8, 2015 1:56 AM |
They're not ugly at all R77 but the fact remains if you have a body part, height, or weight that is outside of the normal parameters spend $20.00 for a hem and get the baggy taken in. It's amazing how much better you look.
Don't get me started about shirts either. Being 6' 3" I can still find a lot of stuff that fits around me yet most ends at the belly button. Believe it or not I actually get my polo shirts fitted for me. I buy two sizes up and have the taken in, sleeves shortened a little bit and just about a 1/2 inch taken off of in length. It's a pain but again polo shirts fitted for you look really good. Fortunately a lot of button down dress shorts are designed and sold to be fitted for you at the store.
I'm convinced that the modern size chart is made up by skinny Asian men. Since the dawn of Zappos though my size 14 feet haven't had any trouble finding shoes that fit. To sum it up I hate hearing small guys bitch about clothes because fucking everything is fitted for you. I know I'm somewhat bigger than a lot of guys but if you look at me I'm really not ginormous and should be able to find a few things that fit.

I agree, but the Kentfield pants from the Banana Republic Outlet, uh I mean Factory Store, fit great in the butt and do not have that annoying tag.
You used to have to drive out of town, but it looks like they're opening in urban areas. They've opened a BR Factory Store in downtown Brooklyn, Harlem, and downtown Philly, or you can order online.

I like khakis and jeans but being a former football player and bodybuilder, its harder finding pants that fit right. You got to buy a size 40 waist and then taken into to a 34 waist to get them to fit.
Plus, being a tall bb'er you also got to find the length. Someone messed tailoring fees. They can get expensive.
