Are the South Park guys assholes? They seem like they would be given their politics. Who here has ever actually dealt with them?
What are Trey Parker and Matt Stone really like?
by Anonymous | reply 117 | July 12, 2019 8:56 AM |
I haven't but I got sucked into reading some online discussion about Trey Parker and his stripper girlfriend that was just sordid. Basically Trey was betrayed by a high school/college girlfriend and so wounded that he thinks all women are whores and only dates strippers now. His current stripper and he are huge drug addicts with coke being their favorite. He's supposed to be an asshole/workaholic too.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 18, 2014 10:42 PM |
I have a friend who works for Matt and thinks he is great.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 18, 2014 10:43 PM |
I thought Trey Parker was married.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 18, 2014 10:44 PM |
Oops--my mistake: he WAS married, but just for two years (2006-08).
Now he lives with a stripper named Boogie Tillmon. Here are the two of them at the Grammys.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 18, 2014 10:48 PM |
Who cares if he took a stripper, I just think it's sweet that he wore his granpa's shoes.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 18, 2014 10:53 PM |
Parker is one of those guys who throws how rich he is in the faces of women who dissed him when he was a nobody.
This Cracked article mentions his drunken meltdown on the commentary track of Cannibal: The Musical. Apparently he's still bitter over a woman dumping him 15 years earlier (Cartman's slut mom is named after her).
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 18, 2014 11:06 PM |
Parker looks like an asshole. It looks like he's wearing a codpiece under his jeans in the first photo.

[quote]They seem like they would be given their politics.
It's almost unbelievable that idiots like OP are STILL laboring under the delusion that they're Republicans, even though they constantly pillory Repugs on their show.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 18, 2014 11:10 PM |
Nobody thinks that they are Republicans, R9. Everyone knows that they claim they are Libertarians, which are far worse than Republicans.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 18, 2014 11:14 PM |
I never once said that they were Republicans, you stupid fuck. By "given their politics," I meant because they're libertarians.

Trey is gay
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 19, 2014 1:53 AM |
Trey is moody and hot and cold. He can be very nice and then a complete asshole. Matt is the more normal one.

Matt had the most beautiful ass I've ever seen on a man in that one movie. I just hope it wasn't an ass stand-in.

"... and this show was pro-gay from day one."
No, not really. Surprised you think so given all the horrible gay stereotypes and one of their early shows making Streisand some kind of Godzilla creature, not because of her ego, but because she wanted to boycott Colorado for an anti-gay law they passed.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 19, 2014 11:21 AM |
They're right-Libertarians too, the worst kind. They used to admit to being Republicans, before it became fashionable identify as Libertarians. That's what makes the right-Libertarians, also the quote about them hating Republicans but REALLY hating liberals.
And thank you r18, they have admitted that is the origin of their obsessive hatred of Streisand. They said she's the only celeb they really hate, and that's the reason they gave for it.
The show is probably funny sometimes, after all it's stayed on so long, but I refuse to watch it because of their politics.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 19, 2014 12:42 PM |
Trey and Boogie had a baby girl whom they names Betty. She's the spitting image of Trey.

Also, I am sorry to say, people tell you that you're the shit long enough, it will go to your head eventually. Let alone that we are all assholes at times.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 12, 2015 10:34 AM |
The difference is simple.
Matt likes to boogie oogie oggie, while Trey also likes to boogie oogie oogie, but he keeps at it, till he just can't boogie no more.

"The show is probably funny sometimes, after all it's stayed on so long, but I refuse to watch it because of their politics."
With a restrictive attitude like that towards arts and entertainment, it's easy to see why you'd hate libertarians.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 12, 2015 11:33 AM |
Trey is the brains and soul behind South Park.
He basically writes all the scripts and you can tell his whimsical sensibility and love of musicals permeate the show. Behind all the toilet humor, there's a very endearing heart to his characters, not unlike the Peanuts gang. I know that's sacrilege to say, but the Shultz's influence is very much there if you look for it.
He also has an amazing understanding of narrative structure...both how to use it and parody it.
Matt should consider himself very lucky he met Trey and hitched his wagon to his star.
Trey always gives him credit and they are an unbreakable team, but you can tell Trey is the creative force and talent behind it all...which Matt often owns up to.
Matt his simply his buddy from college he bounces ideas off of and jokes with while stoned.
I always got the sense that Trey was a tortured soul, like most artists are. Crazy but with flashes of brilliance, and that Matt was the sane cynic who kept him grounded and spiraling out.
When I see Trey talk about Matt, I also get a sense that there might've been a tiny tinge of longing on Trey's part for his friend. I wouldn't be surprised if he was bisexual.

Exactly. They both think they're so politically savvy, but they are just assholes who criticize pretty much everyone and everything.
Chronic complainers, just like all the other republitards and libertards.
I love how the linked photo shows his real name... TILLMON PARKER. No wonder he hates himself!
South Park stopped being funny ages ago, when they stopped focusing on the characters, and started focusing on politics and current events.
The characters were actually funny and interesting, but their political commentary is lame.
That show should have ended at LEAST five years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 12, 2015 2:34 PM |
You might think south park is not funny but The Book of Mormon grossed 200 million dollars, South Park has netted them 300 million (I happen to think South Park is still funny)...
i have worked with both of them. Trey is...um....special. High maint and obsessive. Matt is his yang. He keeps him calm.

by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 12, 2015 4:21 PM |
They manged to make one of the funniest movies ever made, with a great score, "South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut". I never heard bigger laughs all through a movie, and then followed up with one of the worst,"Team America: World Police". You could hear crickets in the theater in NYC Opening day, and I'm not even taking into consideration the rampant homophobic and AIDS jokes.

by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 12, 2015 5:07 PM |
I love Team America and South Park. If anybody thinks Trey Parker and Matt Stone are homophobic they have no idea what real homophobia is. I don't give a fuck what they stick their dicks into. Trey's social commentary is brilliant and hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 12, 2015 5:19 PM |
R35 - That is a MYTH that started with the "Team America - World Police" movie. People who do not understand comical satire took that movie to be some kind of Republican manifesto / revenge movie - when, it was in fact, the complete opposite.
The bottom line of that movie was clear (and NOT politically biased to ANY ideology).
Gary learns from the drunk in the bar: See, there's three kinds of people: dicks, pussies, and assholes. Pussies think everyone can get along, and dicks just want to fuck all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your assholes, Chuck. And all the assholes want us to shit all over everything! So, pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes, Chuck. And if they didn't fuck the assholes, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your pussy all covered in shit!
At the end, Gary realizes that he and Team America are: We're dicks! We're reckless, arrogant, stupid dicks. And the Film Actors Guild are pussies. And Kim Jong Il is an asshole. Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes: assholes that just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is: they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate - and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes, pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes themselves... because pussies are an inch and half away from ass holes. I don't know much about this crazy, crazy world, but I do know this: If you don't let us fuck this asshole, we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit!

They did used to be registered Republicans. They admitted it with their That's My Bush sitcom, because people assumed the show was anti-Bush. They clarified that they both voted for him, and wanted to do something more subversive, make people like him. So now they're libertarians, same difference, they're right-wingers and I hate them.

That's disappointing to know R42. I guess they are entitled to their political beliefs. I still love their show.

by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 13, 2016 11:11 PM |
Matt Stone IS a registered Republican, and they regularly trash liberals on their show for bullshit reasons.
Pro Iraq invasion, anti-Al Gore because global warming is just a "manbearpig" = global warming deniers, anti-zoning laws because Walmart should have the freedom to build as much or anywhere they can buy, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 13, 2016 11:26 PM |
Here is R48, perched on her stool outside the DL main entrance, determining that "masturbatory freaks" have no place here. She brings her dog because it's a good lead-in to her mother having had a cancer scare in 1978.
She is what is known as a useless cunt who thinks a silly post deserves her invective, name-calling and banishment proclamation.
Yes, she is typical, along with the anti-trans hate speakers, the gun nuts, the "I hate all Muslims including gay ones" freepers, the racists, and the humorless SJWs.

I know both Trey and Matt. Neither is a republican and neither one is political. Matt's sister is a social worker and he funds the family center which she runs. I'm pretty sure Matt's sister is a lesbian. His mother is great -- very smart, ultra liberal. His father was a beloved economics professor and lawyer at a public university in Denver; he wrote "Core Economics" for any of you who took Econ "200" as an undergrad.
Trey's sister runs an animal rescue operation which he fully funds. People were really critical when he hooked up with Boogie but they've built a nice family. Trey adopted Boogie's son and they subsequently had a daughter, Betty (named for his grandmother).
Both guys give a lot of money to charities and to individuals and they still have more $$ than fu****g God. They're super great to their employees. My daughter worked for South Park Studios about ten years ago and it remains her favorite professional experience (she's now a lawyer). Some of the posters here are really talking out of their asses but the best thing about M&T is that they just don't care.

[quote]I know both Trey and Matt. Neither is a republican and neither one is political.
Followthemoney lists Trey as having donated to Republican candidates, R56. They've stated they hate liberals. The term "South Park Republican" started with Andrew Sullivan who heard them make pro-Republican comments at an awards show. Parker and Stone go out of their way to publicly slam noted celebrity liberals in interviews (i.e. not on the show) but I can't find a single example of them doing the same to a noted celebrity conservative. The National Review has written articles praising the politics on South Park. Stone was a registered as recently as 2010 as a Republican.
You obviously aren't a regular here -- censoring yourself is a dead giveaway -- and you just sound like a shill. So if you can pass on a note to your employers, please tell them that Trey needs to lay off the coke because his nose is about to implode. Thanks.

R102 LIES. Not a single contribution from either of them. You think just because you use the name of the website that will impress people to think what you're saying is true? This just shows how full of shit you are in general.
R103 That quote is from the '90s. They've both evolved. And, I know exactly what he means. There is a certain element of liberals that can be very annoying or off-putting. I get it.
Bottom line: they're independent thinkers, who don't fall in line with any political party and do brilliant satire. And they did some of the best work of their career in season 19 of South Park. Which is amazing. No show is ever any good after like season 6. Love those dudes.

I'm very surprised that Trey married twice ,he doesn't seem suited to that life at all. As far as I know Matt Is still married . I'm curious about their personalities as well, I would like to hear from anyone who's met them.
