Jesse Palmer

Didn't know he was the Bachelor. Don't know a damn thing about him other than that I find him to be extremely attractive. And he likes Broadway musicals! He is either one of those (rare) secure straight guys, or he is gay gay gay.

What is his job?

If he was a Bachelor he is gay. I think 95% of them are and just do this shit show for exposure and opportunity.

ESPN analyst and former football player. He's Canadian, so I wonder if that skews the gaydar.

I find him very attractive as well. He considers himself to be something of a clothes horse and all around bon vivant. Obviously more than just a dumb jock. It's my understanding that he agreed to do The Bachelor only with a guarantee of a job in broadcasting after his playing days were over. Too bad there don't seem to be any good shirtless shots from his time on the show.

Of all Bachelor veterans, it strikes me as somewhat interesting that hardly any of them have married anyone, much less the virtual stranger they proposed to on the show and then broke up with during the next news cycle. Going back to the very first guy, Alex Michel, and on through Andy Baldwin and Jesse, you had some good-looking, apparently eligible men but very few have gotten married to anybody.

Totally agree r5. There is something very odd about the fact that very few of these bachelors have married at all.

No one has ever posted a single sighting of Palmer with another man. He's a straight jock who is afraid of commitment. He's always seen with hot babes. I'd love to know he's even bi, but I haven't seen anything.

And as for "The Bachelor," the very first one is someone I know very well- he's VERY hetero - a Marine officer, happily married, father - he's a very handsome man, but he is not even 1% gay.

Per the DL, he only did The Bachelor to ensure his ESPN gig.

R7, that is actually Aaron Buerge, who was the second Bachelor. He was more or less a "civilian" in the celebrity sense who was a banker from Springfield, MO. He is one of the few guys on the show who has subsequently married.

R9, are you talking about Alex Michel? He was the first one and I don't remember him being a Marine and I had not heard that he is married. The last time they did a round-up of previous Bachelors, they didn't mention it, either.

I don't know if Jesse Palmer is gay or not and I don't really care as I'll never meet him. He's still a young guy and for someone with his looks and job, he's probably getting lots of sex and attention from whomever he wants, so there'd be no rush to get married.

When they were interviewing Kate Walsh, it was interesting that Jesse brought up how exciting it must be for her to be working with Taye Diggs and Benjamin Bratt.

I saw the Host Chat segment and I thought he was pretty dull. He's obviously very attractive and I'd have been pleased to see him do well, but I was disappointed. He didn't seem to have much energy or affable humor.

Hugh Grant seems like a charmless, doddering old man these days. Jesse Palmer could do so much better than him, it's hard to believe any glances were exchanged.

I'll give Hugh a pass on this one. He had a terrible cold and they all disinfected their hands with gel after greeting one another. I think he would have cancelled if he could have, but he was promoting his new film. I'd like to see him again when he's not feeling like death warmed over.

I doubt he's gay. He has co-hosted The Chew two times in the last two weeks. I never got the impression he is gay. His body language and eye contact with the co-hosts and guests says to me he is heterosexual.

R33 How many people train eye contact? Looking at women, who are not your partner or a sexual interest, for longer than 3 seconds is a big indication a guy likely is gay. I didn't see that from Jesse.
