Does he have "a" MySpace?

Isn't MySpace still limping along?

It's bringing sexy back.

I think Zoomers tried to revive MySpace within the past few years, but it hasn't happened.

MySpace was so much fun. I made so many (actual) friends and got laid so much off it.

Did you think that Tom wanted you sexually? True he is much older, but do you think he visualized scenarios, exchanges, fucking you?

I had joined MySpace only to keep track of my favorite music acts. I later did the same with Instagram. It's the best way to follow their updates, new releases and info on their upcoming shows. Otherwise I am completely apathetic with social media sites.

Friendster started it all.

Livejournal was a nice place for a while, but a little niche and ... oh, yes. Anyone remember gaia?

I had a lot of fun on Netmeeting, ICQ, CUCME, ICUII. Met people from all over the world and have remained friends with some going 30 years. Lots of cybersex. The Italians were the hottest my god.

Yes, I was active on Xanga from 2005-2006 then I discovered MySpace and was on there all the time from 2006-2009.
I miss these early social media sites because you can be creative and express yourself. MySpace was my favorite because it was a great way to discover indie music that wasn’t being played on the radio. I remember discovering Katy Perry and Adele before they were well-known.
There’s a website called SpaceHey that is an exact replica of MySpace. I have an account on there but it feels like something is missing. It doesn’t have the same magic as original MySpace

OP - the answer to your question - what happened? - is a 5 second search away. What else there to say? Times change, products lose lustre or whatever. Who cares.
The personal stories might be interesting.

I spent a LOT of time on DishQueenPantry. It was like Pinterest and Ebay combined, but just about tableware.

Are you diagnosed ADD Zoomer that you can't have a conversation about a topic ? 5 seconds is your max ? Texting is the maximum length of your interest ?

I mean, it *was* kind of a stupid question. Let’s be honest.

Studentcenter.com was an early platform for social media of sorts. It had a chat room and a message board with profiles you could customize like Facebook. The owner Jeff got busted for diddling teens and they shit the site down maybe 10-15 years ago.

R16 - our experience with dead social media sites is interesting. And I said that. What happened to them, I think much less so. But feel free to answer his question.

I started with chat rooms in the late 90s, then moved on to ICQ and MSN Messenger. After that was LiveJournal. I joined Friendster to talk with a friend from high school in about 2003. MySpace followed in about 2006, then Facebook in 2007, when you still had to be a college student to join. My Twitter account started in 2009, and I joined Instagram the following year. (I may be getting these dates wrong.)
That's as far as I have gone. No interest in TikTok or Snapchat. The only one I still use is Instagram, but not that much. I've always found social media more annoying and pointless than "fun."
