I don't think people necessarily become "queenier" as they get older, as such.

Rather, it's a converage of people becoming more of who they have always been and having no Fs left to give and caring a lot less what other people think, but because they're older and wiser and because they often are much less dependent on the opinions of other people, especially for their livelihoods.
