SAD LAST DAYS: King Charles' Cancer Battle Going Poorly

King Charles is reportedly not doing great amid his cancer battle -- so much so, in fact, that his aides are apparently dusting off his funeral plans and updating them regularly.

The Daily Beast put out a story Thursday that says His Royal Highness is in poor health as he continues ongoing treatments for his cancer -- which, at this point, remains a mystery. The only thing the Palace has said is that it isn't prostate cancer ... but it's unspecified.

While KC has been seen out and about these past few months after his diagnosis -- seemingly looking healthy and robust -- the Beast reports it's dire behind the scenes.

What reporter Tom Sykes says he's been hearing from friends of the King in recent weeks is that it's "not good." In fact, it's apparently so bad ... that Buckingham Palace is said to be updating Charles' funeral plans on a regular basis these days.

Those plans are written down somewhere, per the Beast, and it has a code name ... Operation Menai Bridge. There's also this ... the Beast reports that a separate document which has dos and don'ts from Queen Elizabeth II's funeral has also been floating around lately.

If true, it's pretty stunning ... especially since Charles has been carrying on with his Royal duties and putting on a brave face in public. Based on this ... it suggests that's all for show.

Somewhere, Liz is laughing her ass off.

Though his cancer is officially 'unspecified', I think it's been rumored everywhere he's battling pancreatic cancer. That's what's been floating all over the internet the past few months, at least.

Well, TMZ is quite the credible source.

They may have Southern Californian public information officers on the payroll but their palace connections? Not so much.

You should read the whole article R3. The news came from the Daily Beast.

I understand Meghan is quite affordable as a secret source for gossip rags. The bidding starts at a ham sandwich.

The Daily Beast is t that much more credible

If he dies does that mean William will be King and Camilla will be Queen? Or will Kate?

by Anonymousreply 7April 27, 2024 3:35 PM

Everything for the royals is planned well in advance as a contingency. It's not yet time to dance on Chuck's grave.

YES!! DEATH!

I'm rooting for DEATH!!! Flush King Tampon to HELL...All Hail HRH King William& Queen Catherine and their devil spawn.

R7 William and Kate. Camiila will be out out to pasture with a Royal Title.

by Anonymousreply 10April 27, 2024 3:53 PM

It will be horrible if William takes the throne soon, and then he loses his wife (which is very possible with her cancer diagnosis).

Everything is going according to plan

^ Keep telling yourself that.

This morning (4/27) ABC News reported that KC is responding very well to treatment and is prepared to resume regular duty.

I sure hope he gets better, he deserves to be King for a while because he’s patiently waited for so long. He seems to be doing a good job and he has some interests and ideas that could be beneficial to the UK. He seems to love his sons. He has lived a very interesting life due to his generation he’s a part of. and makes an effect to communicate as clearly as possible. His interest in organic agriculture is very significant. The UK has an ideal climate and extremely rich soil for that activity. They could make the entire UK organic if they wanted to. They are superior at gardening and have a lot of success at it over the years.

"he deserves to be King for a while"

What? 100% does not, R15

by Anonymousreply 16April 27, 2024 4:56 PM

Poor guy, he waits 70 years to be king and almost immediately dies. If William lives to be his grandmother's age the UK will have had only three monarchs in 125 years—one of them being just a blip on the screen.

by Anonymousreply 17April 27, 2024 4:59 PM

Reactionary fool and obviously a bad father.

by Anonymousreply 18April 27, 2024 5:07 PM

Isn’t it ironic?

Dontcha think?

A little too ironic.

by Anonymousreply 19April 27, 2024 5:25 PM

"All for show," OP?

What do you think it ever is, no matter what the medical condition of the monarch?

Also, royal funeral plans routinely are reviewed. There is no urgency about funerals here. William and Harry, as the story said, were asked to contribute to their own funeral plans when they were teens.

The rumors are inevitable. No one trusted with the true information would share it. Do consider that Charles is receiving radiation treatment and has not been noted or showing signs of chemotherapy, which would be used if the malignancy has show signs of escaping its local site, wherever it is.

by Anonymousreply 20April 27, 2024 5:31 PM

R19 does not understand what "ironic" means.

by Anonymousreply 21April 27, 2024 5:32 PM

R14 Expected strategy from the Palace to 'spin' what's really going on and getting leaked out. Don't forget, OJ Simpson went on camera and told everyone he was doing great and was healthy, just eight weeks before he went toes up.
