X-Men 97 debuts to rave reviews

Beau de Mayo was fired after finishing two seasons, so they probably put up with his cray cray for as long as possible knowing they had a hit on their hands.

He’ll get more work with these reviews.

Jeez. He may even get a live action deal.

OP, give it a rest.

If this thing gets the streaming minutes to match these reviews, De Mayo will be a hot commodity.

De Mayo’s publicist has entered the chat.

I wish Polaris, Havok, Kitty, and Colossus were part of the team. I never cared about Beast, Morph, and Jubilee.

What are the chances that he purposely got fired so he could get out of his Marvel contract? Stranger things have happened.

Episode 5 was perhaps the most incredible episode out of the entire X-Men franchise, and Beau De Mayo wrote that episode.

I read he's difficult to work with, which is why he was fired. But he deserves credit for continuing a beloved series to great fanfare.

Is Belle De Mustard taking over responsibilities?

It made me cry.

I don’t even like Gambit.

OP, after your cartoons, wash up for dinner. Grandma is coming over.

I think it was Rogue holding him in her arms that got me.

I thought that Marvel would never be able to do something to equal what DC did with Justice League Unlimited, and I don't think '97 is there yet, but it's awfully close.

Rogue & Magneto hooking up is awful pedo-porn to me.

I recall buying her first app. in which she debuted back in the early 80s.

Wasn't she like 14 at that time needing Mystique & Destiny to be mother figures?

by Anonymousreply 15April 27, 2024 10:32 PM

I want Lorna Dane and Kitty Pryde.

"Queue the theme, it’s time to rock out."

Oh dear!

Keep it in your pants R16.

So far, this show has yet to have a single bad episode. Episode 5 was one of the greatest things Marvel has ever done.

by Anonymousreply 19April 28, 2024 11:43 PM

I had legitimate chills at Val Cooper's "Magneto was right."

by Anonymousreply 20May 1, 2024 5:43 PM

This show gets better and better with each episode.
