Why can’t they make an Anti-Depressant that makes you feel like you feel after like 4 drinks? Social, Confident and Happy.
New Anti-Depressant Idea

There's an antidepressant not yet sold in pharmacies, benzoylmethylecgonine, that does exactly that for you. It gives you energy, makes you social (to the point where you cannot actually STFU) and has a strong tinge of euphoria. Also, as opposed to the SSRIs, it boots your libido instead of killing it. Its street name is cocaine.

the whole philosophy of anti-depressants is to bring you back to normal not make you higher and above normal like alcohol does for some.
Alcohol is a depressant actually.

It's called Weed.

Is there anything legal that's not booze that can do this for you?

Weed, for sure. But some people hate it, just like any drug.

In my early years I thought that science was proficient and that if there was some chemical imbalance than they merely need to do an analysis of your blood, figure out what was missing and prescribe what was needed. Yeah... I'm pretty much a low IQ dunce.
Anyway as time went on I realized that it was basically just a matter of throwing things against the wall and seeing what (if anything) fit. It's all a . Maybe they'll get better at it someday.

"It's all a crapshoot". ^^^

R4 Ive found a combination of nootropics, herbal supplements (ashwagandha, pine bark, lions mane, others), and (I swear) subliminal messaging with binaural beats has helped lift me out of a years'-long severe depression and anxiety (including lifelong occasional mild social anxiety that had swelled into persistent & severe) . I haven't dropped the anti-depressant or ADHD med, but these other things (or them + my openness to them) have made a huge difference. Ymmv but I'm sticking with them bc I've about gotten my life back.
