How much money and power as an old drunk living in a 1980s Santa Monica apartment could Holden have had? It was an intense diminshment. Might have been resurrected if he'd stuck with Powers and stopped drinking. That may have been her plan all along that did not work. (Girl Savior) Maybe she got tired of trying to prop him up and it's why there were no communications as he laid dead on the apartment floor for so many days. She may have known and not wanted to know when he didn't call.

What's significant about Powers' remarks is that it comes from real Hollywood.

People forget that Meghan never cracked Hollywood - the media throws around the term "Hollywood actress Meghan Markle" when, in fact, she never even got close. That cable show out of Canada was as close as she got, yalthough she tried.

That was part of the mythology around her that the press made up: oh, she's used to public scrutiny and red carpets! The truth is, she was on very few nationally televised red carpets, if any, and huge swaths of the public didn't know who she was if they didn't watch "Suits". So her ability to handle the kind of scrutiny Harry's wife was going to attract was vastly exaggerated. No one who hasn't been an A-list celebrity or born to royalty is prepared for it.
