Garret Graves. Baton Rouge, LA. He's actually not that bad. I followed (on Facebook) one of the Democratic candidates who ran against him last time. Illiterate loser split the Democratic vote and gave Graves the election.

Used to be Dennis Kucinich, now Marcy Kaptur. BTW, I went to high school with Ted Lieu in Cleveland.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, at age three Lieu immigrated with his family to Cleveland, Ohio,[1] where he grew up. In 1987, he graduated from Saint Ignatius High School, in 1991 from Stanford University with a BS in computer science and a BA in political science, and in 1994 with a JD magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was editor-in-chief of the Georgetown Law Journal and received four American Jurisprudence awards.[2

Some nobody repug named Roy Chip, or Chip Roy, something stupid like that. This district used to be hopelessly republican but 2018 was finally a close election. I don't have much hope the dems can finally win but i'm hoping that Wendy Davis can give a run but im skeptical she'll have much appeal her considering she's from FT. worth.

Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts. She’s a member of the “squad” of liberal freshman liberals.
The incumbent she beat, Michael Capuano, was very liberal and would have had 20-year’s seniority, so I don’t know why he was tossed. It didn’t occur to me he would lose.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 13, 2019 5:56 AM |
Now Kennedy III of Massachusetts is challenging Sen. Ed Markey who is a Dem liberal with a lot of experience. As far as I know, his reason for doing so has nothing to do with policy disagreements or effectiveness, and only due to his own ambition. I hope he loses.

Paul Gossar- he is the most Vile, Reprehensible, human being there is. So contemptible in fact that his OWN FAMILY took out an Op- Ed in one of the papers here in Arizona to write about how dangerous, ill-suited, and just generally awful he would be as a representative of AZ. The crazy old bat-shit Snowbirds voted for him anyway.

Pure Republican Stooge.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 13, 2019 6:12 AM |
The utterly insane Dr. Paul Gosar, DDS. He's so very corrupt and evil, 6 of his siblings endorsed his opponent in 2018.
His district in AZ is the reddest in the state at R +21. The way of local politics: 3 elderly Indivisible members were assaulted by a Trump supporter at a small demonstration on the town square this week, police are doing nothing.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 13, 2019 6:14 AM |
Hello R54! You were posting as I was posting. We're unlucky to be in Gosar's district, but lucky to have survived in a hostile place. Nice to meet you (electronically speaking).

After decades in a gerrymandered Republican rep district, we have our first Dem Mary Gay Scanlon. Thanks to a court order destroying a ridiculously gerrymandered district. Let’s hope it doesn’t get overturned. Trump has also pushed the moderate old school Republicans into Dems. A small blessing.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 13, 2019 7:39 AM |
R37 (not OP) but you are getting your Kennedys confused. The Rep has nothing to do with vaccine issues, and has never once stated a belief that vaccines cause autism.
His uncle, RFK Jr. is a vaccine injury advocate, and is against Thimerosal in vaccines. He is also against alumininum, fluoride, and other substances which he believes impairs children's health. He has gone on the record several times to clarify that he is not an 'Anti-Vaxxer', just that he believes parents ought to make their own decisions for their children. He wants people to understand that they do not come WITHOUT risks. He is fully vaccinated, as are his adult children.

Interesting, R60.
Fluoride has been of great benefit. People don’t get cavities like I did as a child in the 1960s. I have a mouthful of silver. There’s no evidence that fluoride causes negative health problems and is a wonder preventative for oral health.

by Anonymous | reply 75 | December 15, 2019 4:35 PM |
R67 Many drugs or substances do good things when applied topically, it's yet another thing to put those substances in the water supply by artificial means.
Fluoride has no benefit for adults when taken internally, it actually causes weaker bones, due to fluoride being taken up where calcium is meant to absorb. Studies on fractures, bone density, and Osteoporosis prove this when a fluoridated water supply is considered.

Denver Riggleman, notorious as the purveyor of Bigfoot erotica last year.
He is being primaried next year by a Liberty University fundraiser who feels that Riggleman is not conservative enough. Riggleman officiated at a same-sex marriage (of a Congressional staff member) earlier this year, which has pissed off the Evangelicals. Liberty University (as well as U.Va) is located in the district.
Riggleman owns a distillery in Virginia and one in NC. He succeeded Tom Garrett who resigned last year due to his struggles with alcoholism (and abuse of his staff). We seem to grow colorful politicians in VA-05

You're probably just the ill informed and butt-hurt poster who was trying to wrongfully call Rep. Joe Kennedy III an anti- vaxxer.
