I endorse Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America

I endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America because in his fifty plus years of public advocacy and activism, and thirty plus years of civil service, he has never wavered from standing up and fighting for the ignored, marginalized and victimized citizens of this country, regardless of what it would cost him personally, professionally and politically. Whether suffering arrests in the 1960’s for protesting against racism, publicly supporting and advocating for the rights of the LGBT community at the height of the AIDS crisis in the mid-1980’s, leading the opposition against the Iraq war in the 1990’s, or marching alongside underpaid and undervalued workers in 2019, Senator Sanders’ message has always been the same: all human beings deserve be treated with respect, dignity and consideration.

R3 Sure. If I could sit my ass on your face, you’d be the first to get them.

by Anonymousreply 4December 4, 2019 8:54 AM

Well, having a "business man" running the country was a fiasco, I think we can all agree that experiment didn't work. I'm willing to let Bernie try. He cares about people.

"I'm a Democratic Socialist." Sell that in the flyover states that must be won to get enough electoral college votes. Not gonna happen.

by Anonymousreply 8December 4, 2019 9:47 AM

R8 Right? What was your “reality” the night that Dump got elected?

Bernie has a real shot and that’s despite the smears, the lies and the mainstream media blackout...

By the way, if Bernie has no chance of winning why are the corporatists, neoliberals and billionaires panicking?

Their panic should be confirmation of Bernie’s chances.

by Anonymousreply 9December 4, 2019 10:09 AM

Pete is better for the Jews than Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 10December 4, 2019 10:43 AM

by Anonymousreply 11December 4, 2019 3:20 PM

Nope.

by Anonymousreply 17December 4, 2019 8:10 PM

Regardless of what happens in 2020, history will show that Bernie came down on the right side of history throughout his political career. Not many people can claim that for themselves.

by Anonymousreply 18December 4, 2019 8:40 PM

R18 Not many AT ALL.

All Dump will be remembered for is his rancid stench and offensive appearance along with his disastrous presidency (lower case ‘p’ being oh so apropos).

Hill will be remembered as being over the hill and as the extremely divisive, manipulative and offensive First Lady.

by Anonymousreply 19December 4, 2019 11:52 PM

OP, good for you. You are not alone. Bernie and Pete are the only presidential candidates I've donated to in 2019.

by Anonymousreply 20December 5, 2019 12:34 AM

Did Bill Clinton every make a guest appearance on SEX AND THE CITY? Was George W Bush ever in a movie with Kermit the frog? Were Ronald Reagan or Barack Obama in HOME ALONE?

Donald Trump is the only American President to have ever appeared on an episode of SEX AND THE CITY or in a MUPPET MOVIE or in the HOME ALONE franchise. He's also the only president to be nominated twice for a RAZZIE! Who's going to top that?

by Anonymousreply 21December 5, 2019 2:46 AM

Thank you, OP!

In addition to all the reasons mentioned by OP, I also endorse Bernie Sanders because he has the vision and the policies which are needed for the people of the United States.

by Anonymousreply 32December 6, 2019 12:46 PM

To be quite honest, I am almost at the point where I'm about to say just give fucking Bernie the nomination so his mother fucking whining ass supporters will shut the fuck up. And when he gets his ass handed to him in the general, then they can slink away and we won't have to deal with them again.

Bernie and his supporters are already doing the same bullshit they did in 2016. And I'm just tired of the whining, the begging and the preaching. So I've decided that only way to vanquish the cult of Bernie once and for all is to let him get the nomination and loose so badly that they will just crawl away and take their crazy with them and let the adults run things.

by Anonymousreply 33December 6, 2019 1:08 PM

Let's redraft to include only Sanders' legislative accomplishments...

"I endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America because in his fifty plus years of public advocacy and activism, and thirty plus years of civil service, he has introduced and passed legislation for _______________________."

Just fill that in and we'll discuss.

by Anonymousreply 34December 6, 2019 1:43 PM

R34 What are Pete’s accomplishments?

by Anonymousreply 35December 7, 2019 11:58 AM

You forgot to add-

And this is why Trump will win a second term.

Vote for Bernie who too many see him as a socialist (dems too) and you put that demon back in for a second term. Mark my words.

by Anonymousreply 36December 7, 2019 1:00 PM

R36 This is not true.

Trump would be destroyed by Sanders. He knows it, the establishment knows it (and fears it) and you know it.

Not only is Bernie quicker than Donald, he’s smarter, angrier on behalf of the American people and is looking to continue what FDR, JFK, MLK and others fought for and in most cases were killed for.

Why do you the mainstream media on both sides of the aisle are terrified and that corporations are literally jumping into the race last minute (“Corporations are people, too!”)? Why do you think two establishment Democrats (Sen. Manchin and a woman governor or senator whose name I don’t recall) recently admitted they would vote for Trump if Bernie was the nominee? People don’t take such just measures against an assured loser.

by Anonymousreply 37December 7, 2019 1:24 PM

An endorsement of Sanders is effectively an endorsement of Trump.

by Anonymousreply 38December 7, 2019 1:27 PM

R38 No. Donald would be destroyed.

by Anonymousreply 39December 7, 2019 1:31 PM

OP Have you run a fact check on Bernie? I'll help you out. 52% of the time (half true, mostly false, false).

by Anonymousreply 40December 7, 2019 1:43 PM

R37 and R39 and OP, I endorse Bernie too as my first choice, with Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg as my second and third choices.

by Anonymousreply 41December 7, 2019 2:07 PM

R37 you are wrong and you are not considering the most important elements here. Americans are not going to support socialism no matter what the affiliation. Only fringes are about it. Which is why Sanders lost last time around. He may win this time because the lot is so sad. Trumps idiocy has nothing to do with it. The R will vote and those that don’t agree with Sanders (majority of D) will stay home.

Trump wins if Sanders goes against him.

by Anonymousreply 42December 7, 2019 2:18 PM

R42 Americans have ALREADY embraced socialism and just need to be schooled on how they’re participating in it now.

Bernie with Nina Turner or even Warren as his VP will get that message out loud and clear.

Dump can yell “Soshial-izm!&$$#” all he wants while Bernie, AOC, Nina and Liz remind everyone of all the current socialism we do partake in everyday. They can then paint a picture of America with absolutely NO socialism whatsoever. Not even for corporations....

Donald is done, dear.

OP is so delusional.

Bernie has failed every single test of character and leadership he's been given. He's been utterly AWOL on civil rights issues for decades. He's introduced and passed zero progressive legislation. He's a fraud and a grifter, getting rich off of the $27 donations of gullible rubes. He talks a good game (sometimes), but when pressed, he's proven he has no clue how to actually implement anything he's been talking about for decades. No plans, no strategies, no nothing but hand-waving and finger-wagging. He's a populist demagogue who centers straight white men in all things by his own admission. He's an empty suit, and the LAST thing this country needs.

by Anonymousreply 46December 11, 2019 4:16 AM

R46 The delusional one is you (probably why you literally live here) with your flagrant disregard and disrespect for the majority of this country.

Fuck Bernie Sanders, and fuck anyone gullible enough, stupid enough, and sexist enough to actually support this grifting fraud's egotistical narcissistic run for an office he's wholly unfit for.

by Anonymousreply 51December 13, 2019 4:31 AM

R47, how is a "majority of the country" being insulted by calling out the truth about a guy barely a third of the country even remotely supports. He's placing behind Biden in most places, and placing 3rd, and even 4th in specific polls across the country.

You sound like Trump, who thinks his 30% approval rating makes him the most popular president ever.

by Anonymousreply 52December 13, 2019 4:33 AM

R51 PREDICTABLE. Cenk was a Republican, too, so I won’t wait for you to bring that one up, either?

I bet your favorite candidate is either a sexual predator, a racist, falling apart at the seams or a corporate whore - or all four!

Try harder, love.

by Anonymousreply 53December 13, 2019 4:36 AM

R53, what a weird response. Yes, It's PREDICTABLE that sexist Bernie shits on a qualified woman and endorses a sexist Republican in progressive drag asshole like Cenk.

And no, I don't support any racist sexual predators for President. We already have one of those.

Dumbass.

by Anonymousreply 54December 13, 2019 4:37 AM

R52 The lower-middle class and poor, along with the youth of this country combined ARE the majority.

by Anonymousreply 55December 13, 2019 4:38 AM

But only HALF of them support Bernie, dumbass. The gullible naïve marks who have no clue how things work or are easily bought off by fake promises of "free" shit. And who, as a group, tend to not vote (but boy they love to attend rallies).

You really aren't very smart. Which I guess explains how you got suckered by a fraud like Bernie into believing he actually has the ability or the power to make anything he talks about actually happen by just wagging his magic finger.

by Anonymousreply 56December 13, 2019 4:41 AM

R56 Oh, sweetie, you seem to have a serious case of the vapors. You’re so bitter you can taste it. I bet it’s the only thing keeping your contrite, miserable, conservative existence together.

R59 Bernie withdrew his endorsement of Cenk once he was made aware by frustrated supporters of his all of the new information that has come out.

by Anonymousreply 60December 14, 2019 3:33 PM

R60, Bernie didn't apologize or even acknowledge how problematic Cenk is... he said he withdrew it only because Cenk decided not to accept endorsements. It's a circus. And it's yet again Bernie not only choosing to endorse creepy unqualified men over highly qualified women, but to refuse to ever apologize or acknowledge he made a mistake.

Bernie has a LONG history of having to withdraw endorsements, fire people he just hired, of endorsing people who ultimately lose, of endorsing terrible candidates over far better ones, and of surrounding himself with terrible, awful people.

Bernie isn't just temperamentally unfit for the Presidency, he runs a shitty campaign, fails every test of character and leadership, and would put together a nightmare administration of grifting opportunists just like Trump has (in the very remote chance he managed to actually win anything).

I just do not see what anyone sees in this unlikable, untalented, lazy, grifting, old, shouty, whiny, terrible fraud.

The emperor not only has no clothes, he's just the flip side of trump.

by Anonymousreply 61December 14, 2019 3:38 PM

[quote] he withdrew it only because Cenk decided not to accept endorsements.

This is a lie and you are clearly biased against Bernie. He corrected his mistake of endorsing Cenk prematurely, before he was fully vetted. However, we will not be distracted from the main objective by tangential distractions.

The fact of the matter is, Senator Sanders is fighting for the rights of the majority - WE THE PEOPLE WHO CONSTITUTE THE GOVERNMENT PER THE CONSTITUTION - of this flawed yet great country.

He is fighting for a living wage for all (he should actually start making this his main talking point because even most Republicans agree with this one)

His is fighting for Medicare for All (still solid but open to more attacks by the right and neoliberals by the use of scare tactics and equating socialism with communism)

He is fighting for Green New Deal (EVERYONE needs to get on board with this ASAP)

He is fighting to GET BACK free public college and universities, and to cancel all student debt, which has been inflated by corruption and special interests. He is looking to ensure that the citizens of our country are educated and given ample opportunity to grow and produce as they see fit!

He is fight for LGBT rights as he has been since1972.

He is fighting for the rights of women when it comes equal pay and to having control over their own bodies (he was in favor of this BEFORE Roe V Wade).

He is fighting on behalf of the immigrants of this country who were instrumental in the creation and building of these United States of America.

As a Jewish man with a healthy amount of support and protection, he is fighting for the rights of ALL people of color who have limited support and protection, including African and Caribbean Americans, Latino Americans, Asian Americans and Native Americans.

He is calling for a reduction in war and a focus on diplomacy and resolution.

He is calling to get the “big money” and corporations - already an abnormal constructs kin to cults - out of politics and for voting reform.

Senator Bernie Sanders will win.

God, the Bernie stans are worse than Janbot and Madonna's stans combined.

by Anonymousreply 67December 15, 2019 6:31 AM

Bernie will win!

by Anonymousreply 68December 15, 2019 7:21 AM

Bernie lost in a landslide of 4 million popular votes in 2016, and that was against just ONE other candidate.

There's no way he wins against half a dozen or a dozen other candidates, many of which have far better plans and strategies than he does.

2016 was his ceiling. He was unvetted, and boosted by the GOP and Russia to knee-cap Hillary (who scared them because she was competent and effective).

The GOP and Russia WANT Bernie to tear Democrats apart (which seems to be his only real skill), and they want him to win the Dem primary because they KNOW he'll be easy to beat. The GOP smear machine is SALIVATING at the chance to run on Bernie. He'll lose in a landslide against even Trump after they're through with him.

Bernie is a loser. A sore-loser at that.

by Anonymousreply 69December 15, 2019 10:04 PM

I think there are lots of problems with a Bernie candidacy (and I was an early supporter - gave lots of $ in 2015 and early 2016). But his support (including enthusiasm) among younger voters is unmatched. Voter turnout will determine 2020: Getting younger voters out, getting voters of color out, getting younger voters of color out... are at least as important as suburban moms, and blue collar Obama-to-Trump voters in PA, MI, and WI. I will likely vote for Warren in the CA primary (maybe Pete if things change) but the candidate who can do all three: 1) young voters, 2) voters of color 3) working class in the rust belt - there is a strong argument that that's Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 70December 15, 2019 10:18 PM

[quote]But his support (including enthusiasm) among younger voters is unmatched.

by Anonymousreply 71December 15, 2019 11:17 PM

[quote]But his support (including enthusiasm) among younger voters is unmatched.

His support amongst naïve, self-absorbed, ignorant-of-how-things-work non-voters is unmatched, you mean.

[quote]Voter turnout will determine 2020

Yes. And not only do Sanders Supporters NOT turn out, but Sanders himself turns off people of color -- the backbone of the Democratic Party -- and their turnout will be suppressed as well.

There is literally ZERO argument that Bernie can boost turnout over any other candidate. ALL of the evidence points in the opposite direction. Further, he'll motivate the other side to turn out for Trump, even those who have soured on Trump, to keep that "commie socialist" out of office. FURTHER, he's got more baggage and higher negatives than any other candidate, and the GOP Smear Machine will have such a rich set of targets that even most of his own supporters will deny they supported him by the time they're done.

Never mind he'll turn 80 in office, has already had a heart attack that he tried to cover up, and would likely die in office, if not before. He's also someone who has surrounded himself with absolutely terrible people in his campaign... grifters and frauds and anarchists and libertarians. And his endorsements have been the kiss of death for campaign after campaign.

IT's delusional to think that Bernie -- a too old populist demagogue that centers straight white men in all things -- is the answer to having a too old populist demagogue who centers straight white men in all things in office.

They're two sides of the same coin, and both are utter disasters.

by Anonymousreply 72December 15, 2019 11:21 PM

I also endorse Bernie Sanders. He stood with us when many pretended we didn't exist.

by Anonymousreply 73December 15, 2019 11:27 PM

R72 IT's delusional to think that Bernie -- a too old populist demagogue that centers straight white men in all things -- is the answer to having a too old populist demagogue who centers straight white men in all things in office.

Dude, Trump was elected.

by Anonymousreply 74December 16, 2019 3:08 AM

R73, no he absolutely did not.

Hillary and Harris have far better records on LGBT issues than Bernie, and that's just two.

Bernie doesn't give a shit about LGBT people and dismisses LGBT rights and issues as "gonad politics".

by Anonymousreply 75December 16, 2019 6:25 AM

R74, it took the combined forces of Russian hacking & propaganda, GOP voter suppression, Sexist double-standards in the media, 30 years of GOP smears, the nothing-burger Comey letter, and hacked voting machines in swing states, along with Russian and GOP elevation and support of a 3rd party Stein run in those same states to get Trump "selected". Never mind all the fake-news and social media bots.

Democrats do not have that luxury, or any of the platforms (like fox news) to push such a populist demagogue across the finish line. Besides, Russians and the GOP _WANT_ Bernie to win, because they know they can beat him. That's why they funded him and elevated him all through 2016, using him to damage Hillary.

by Anonymousreply 76December 16, 2019 6:27 AM

The anti-Bernie trolls are on wash and repeat:

He’s too old.

lol!

R75 Bernie was advocating for gay rights when Hill was still a Republican against gay marriage.

R63, I hope you are right. But, I don't think so.

by Anonymousreply 78December 16, 2019 7:21 PM

Bernie's biggest fans are always marketing Bernie's marching with MLK as an example of his moral purity. You know who else marched for civil rights? Mitch McConnell (yes, THAT Mitch McConnell). I think we can agree it's better to focus on what people have accomplished in government office if they've been in place for 10+ years.

by Anonymousreply 79December 16, 2019 11:13 PM

R77 is a pathetic liar.

Bernie Sanders was AWOL on all LGBT issues while Hillary was in the trenches with gay and AIDS activists all through the 90s when most politicians wouldn't be seen with us. And Bernie himself said marriage was between one man and one woman well after most of his ignorant stans claim he was supporting gay marriage.

R81, you actually think that means anything? Seriously? Ooooh, he signed on permit for one gay pride parade, and put in one brief appearance.

HE's done absolutely zero work to actually improve LGBT rights. Hillary has.

Also, Hillary was the first sitting first lady to march in a Gay Pride parade, and the first major party Presidential Candidate to do the same. Bernie? NEver once participated in any LGBT pride parade.

Also, in June 2016, Hillary's campaign site was wall to wall rainbow flags for Pride Month, with special callouts of her policies that help LGBT people and further LGBT rights. Bernie's site? Not even a mention of Pride Month.

And finally, after the Pulse shooting, Hillary canceled campaign events to go pay respects to the victims in Florida. Bernie? Nada.

So seriously, fuck your revisionist history.

by Anonymousreply 84December 17, 2019 1:50 AM

R84 No, fuck your lies.

by Anonymousreply 85December 17, 2019 1:51 AM

The way Hill says “no” to, “Do you support gay marriage?” So quick, so cold and with a hint of a smile...

She oddly reminds me of Madonna in that clip, especially during the aforementioned moment.

by Anonymousreply 86December 17, 2019 1:53 AM

What lies, R85? The only ones lying here are the Bernie Stans. That includes you.

I'm sorry you can't handle the truth, and refuse to do your homework, and actually research your candidates... but it's your fault you picked a real dud like Bernie. He's terrible. A lazy failure who figured out a great way to live is to grift gullible supporters like you, and live like a king on $27 donations from a million morons.

by Anonymousreply 87December 17, 2019 1:54 AM

Absolute inanity of those on the left arguing with each other as to primacy in the purity wars. Fucking useless, unless we defeat the autocratic fascist regime current in power, destroying the earth, taking food stamps away from the hungry, putting children in cages... get a grip, leftists. It's Germany 1932 and the social democrats and the socialists and the communists are having hissy fits with each other.

by Anonymousreply 88December 17, 2019 1:56 AM

You’re superfluous, R87, and obviously loathe Bernie Sanders.

The fact of the matter is, Bernie was advocating for gay rights when Hillary was still against gay marriage, which she was still against more than a decade later as evidenced in the video posted at R82.

For more detailed information in how Bernie and Hillary differ regarding LGBT rights, please see R83, which summarizes things nicely for you courtesy of MSNBC and Rachel Maddow.

It's really not, R94.

You think ANY politician could get elected by saying they supported gay marriage in the 90s? Please.

by Anonymousreply 96December 17, 2019 5:37 PM

Bernie will win.

by Anonymousreply 97December 17, 2019 7:57 PM

Bernie will lose. Just like he lost in a landslide in 2016. Just like he lost in every election he ran until he took NRA money and help to get elected in Vermont. And to stay elected there, he continues to cheat to win.

Bernie is a loser, supported by losers, and virtually everyone he endorses loses.

by Anonymousreply 98December 17, 2019 8:46 PM

R98 I'm for Warren, maybe could go for Amy, Pete, or Bernie. But your post it's nuts. Folks need to just shut the fuck up on attacking any candidate on the left in these trolling ridiculous ways. I hate the Bernie Bro bullshit attacks and hate the Bernie attacks. Bernie barely lost to Hillary in 2016. He is weaker than some other candidates on gun control - but the NRA hates him. You're nuts and just trying to stir up shit.

Beat Trump 2020. Nothing else comes close to that priority.

by Anonymousreply 99December 17, 2019 9:00 PM

But R98 is clearly retarded, R99. Leave it alone.

Agree with and commend R62.

I endorse Senator Sanders too, I've donated to Bernie and Senator Warren and Mayor Buttigieg.

by Anonymousreply 102December 18, 2019 2:27 AM

To those who have used this thread to also endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America, I commend and thank you. It moves and inspires me more thanI can express.

by Anonymousreply 103December 18, 2019 2:33 AM

It concerns me that after having his heart attack, Bernie promised to release his medical records and as yet has not.

by Anonymousreply 104December 18, 2019 3:16 AM

R104 As soon as Biden, who can barely speak, and Dump, who recently had an undisclosed emergency medical procedure, do.

by Anonymousreply 105December 18, 2019 3:24 AM

[quote]Bernie barely lost to Hillary in 2016.

No, R99. Bernie lost in a fucking LANDSLIDE of FOUR MILLION VOTES and a THOUSAND DELEGATES. There was no barely about it. He was mathematically eliminated, with no path to the nomination, by March 15th of 2016. He refused to concede, and lied to his supporters for MONTHS about his chances of winning (which were zero). He actually wanted to campaign to have super-delegates over-turn the will of the people to anoint HIM as the winner by flipping on Hillary.

Nothing in my post was nuts. It was factual. Bernie is a ratfucker. He's temperamentally unfit for the office, too old and frail, and a cancer & parasite on the Democratic party. He's the flip side of Trump. He's not a Democrat. He cannot be allowed to win the nomination, and he shouldn't have been allowed to run in the Democratic party to begin with. He's a fraud. An empty suit. A grifter. And if you can't see this... then you're the gullible mark he's using to get rich one $27 donation at a time.

Just say "No" to populist demagogues, whether Right or Left. No Trump. No Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 106December 18, 2019 3:34 AM

R102 has TERRIBLE taste in candidates. Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 107December 18, 2019 3:35 AM

I'm pretty sure R103 is Putin. Or Trump.

by Anonymousreply 108December 18, 2019 3:36 AM

R104, Bernie promises a lot of things he never delivers on, or cannot deliver on, or has no clue to deliver on, or no intention of ever delivering on.

by Anonymousreply 109December 18, 2019 3:36 AM

R106 Not only is your slip showing, it’s torn and dangling.

Your vile desperation is galvanizing, to say the least. The true “ratfucker...temperamentally unfit for [anything]...too old and frail, and a cancer & parasite on the Democratic party...the flip side of Trump” is you, you imploded neolibcon.

You probably couldn’t give two shits about anything beyond that two inch nub you call a dick.

by Anonymousreply 110December 18, 2019 3:40 AM

No, R110, but it's so hilarious how you morons always fall back on 'neolib' as a slur, when you have no fucking clue what the word even means. The way you cult of morons use it, you apparently think it means "disagrees with Saint Bernard".

Talk about your slip showing.

I actually care about making progress, which is why I don't support an unaccomplished fraud like Bernie who has no clue or ability to actually get anything significant passed. A centrist like Amy Klobuchar would make far more actual progress than Bernie ever would (or could), and in fact, she already has.

by Anonymousreply 111December 18, 2019 3:43 AM

I was more inclusive, R111. I used “neolibcon”.

You’re also a LIAR.

Bernie’s last candidacy is the reason we have the disgraceful “leadership” we have now.

And now the want to pull an encore. THANK YOU, NEXT.

by Anonymousreply 118December 25, 2019 3:47 PM

I support Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

That cartoon was funny.

POLITICO: Dem insiders say Bernie could win the nomination.

Suddenly, Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign is being taken seriously.

For months the Vermont senator was written off by Democratic Party insiders as a candidate with a committed but ultimately narrow base who was too far left to win the primary. Elizabeth Warren had skyrocketed in the polls and seemed to be leaving him behind in the race to be progressive voters’ standard-bearer in 2020.

But in the past few weeks, something has changed. In private conversations and on social media, Democratic officials, political operatives and pundits are reconsidering Sanders’ chances.

Bernie will win the nomination.

by Anonymousreply 122December 27, 2019 5:40 PM

Back to reality--Bernie will win the nomination only if Biden gets a heart attack. And only one of these two candidates refuses to disclose their medical records.

by Anonymousreply 123December 27, 2019 6:25 PM

Warren is fading.

Elizabeth Warren reports sharp decrease in fund-raising ahead of FEC deadline

Senator Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign disclosed on Friday that she’s facing a sharp drop in fund-raising ahead of a fourth-quarter deadline and is launching a last-minute appeal to supporters to close some of the gap.

Warren has raised $17 million so far in the fourth quarter, the campaign told supporters in an e-mail Friday. That’s down from $24.6 million in the third quarter, a roughly 31 percent drop.

“If the numbers don’t pick up, we run the risk of having to pull back plans to organize for Elizabeth Warren in all 50 states during the primary,” her campaign said in the e-mail, which asked for donations before Dec. 31.

arren’s campaign acknowledged that announcing the fund-raising total ahead of the reporting deadline is unusual . Candidates often bombard their supporters with fund-raising e-mails toward the end of each quarter and often say they are running behind their goal — former vice president Joe Biden did just that on Thursday — but they rarely give specific figures and usually wait until after the quarter ends to announce their totals.

In going public ahead of time, the Warren campaign signaled it was highly concerned about the drop-off. The email said the campaign was unlikely to match the 3rd quarter total and set a goal of $20 million in contributions by the end of the quarter. If met, that would be a 23 percent drop from the third quarter.

WW’d OP for her GIF usage alone, but I also agree with her sentiments. Bernie with Boot-edge-edge as Vice President would be incredible for America. x

by Anonymousreply 125December 27, 2019 10:04 PM

If Warren drops out, all her support will go to Bernie, which would put him in the lead.

by Anonymousreply 126December 28, 2019 5:08 PM

Bernies out about to die.

by Anonymousreply 127December 28, 2019 7:15 PM

So many ridiculous snarky uninformed anti-Bernie posts. Blah blah blah blah. I agree with / compliment R62, R89, R102, R103 and especially R125. In fact, your affirming comments lead me to make an online donation to Senator Sanders' presidential campaign just now. My second choices / vice presidential choices are Senator Warren and Mayor Buttigieg (I donated to them too, just not as much as I donated to Senator Sanders).

R90 your comments are very logical and reasonable and important. I agree with you too.

To me, R98 and R118 your comments seem uninformed and overly dramatic and misleading.

by Anonymousreply 128December 29, 2019 12:14 AM

Thanks, Rho! R125

You too, R128!

by Anonymousreply 129December 29, 2019 4:23 PM

He is the ONLY one who WILL beat Trump. And that's on what?...PERIOD. Get smart Dems.

Bernie is leading in the lates Reuters national poll and Emerson NH poll.

by Anonymousreply 134January 17, 2020 2:45 PM

He’s doing really well in the polls.

by Anonymousreply 135January 19, 2020 2:49 AM

It is important to support your candidate especially to your very own.

You, DL, are my very own. I love you bitches - the good, the bad AND the indifferent.

Vote for Bernie Sanders! He is the only one that has stood up with and for the LGBT community since the early 1970’s!

by Anonymousreply 136January 19, 2020 4:02 AM

No worries, R136, I support him and I've donated to him. But truth be told, I've also donated to Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Senator Elizabeth Warren.

by Anonymousreply 137January 22, 2020 12:39 AM

I do not support Bernie and will not vote for him in my state's primary. If he is the nominee, however, I will certainly vote for him over Trump.

Will Bernie supporters do the same if their guy isn't the nominee?

by Anonymousreply 138January 22, 2020 2:02 PM

Vote for Bernie!

by Anonymousreply 139January 22, 2020 4:39 PM

R138, yes I will.

As I posted earlier, I do like Senator Sanders and I support him, but I've also donated to Mayor Buttigieg and Senator Warren. Those are my top three favorite candidates. However, when it comes down to it, I'll vote for whoever is the Democratic nominee.

by Anonymousreply 140January 27, 2020 2:21 AM

He won't be the nominee.

His mindless followers will put their tiny hands on their crinoline skirts and hold their breath and stamp their feet...

...not vote and put Trump back in office.

They'll try to disrupt the convention because they act like spoiled teenagers.

They come out every four years and then do nothing in the meantime.

LOSERS.
