Completely ridiculous, they're not even 5% of the population. Only someone who doesn't understand the basics of demography would claim something like that. Europe is secularising fast and in 15 to 20 years will have *very* little patience for the excesses of religion, either Christian or Muslim or whatever else. Just look at how France has successfully declawed their imams in recent years by requiring they get accredited with the government first. As soon as they start preaching hateful stuff, their accreditation gets pulled and their preaching career in France is over.

I can't believe people still think God exists when physics has pretty much proven that the universe is a hologram and our reality is a simulation. "God" is quantum computer. Read the books The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot, The Cosmic Hologram by Jude Currivan and Stalking The Wild Pendulum by Itzhac Bentov if you need some convincing. And those are just three examples out of hundreds of books about this subject.

The Five Stages of Islam

Stage 1. Establish a Beachhead

Population density à 2% (US, Australia, Canada).

Muslims are conciliatory, deferential but request harmless special treatment (foot bath facilities, removal/elimination of that which is offensive to delicate Muslim sensibilities - like walking dogs near Mosques).

Stage 2. Establish Outposts

Population density 2% - 5% (UK, Germany, Denmark).

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. A recent example is that of Sheikh Abdullah el-Faisal who is back in Jamaica after being kicked out of the UK. Sound harmless? Read on:

Stage 3. Establish Sectional Control of Major Cities.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population the demands turn to lawlessness. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. In France which may be over the 10% range, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrassas. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death.

Stage 4. Establish Regional Control.

Population density 20% - 50% (Europe 2020?).

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues.

Stage 5. Total Control, Brutal Suppression, and Dhimmitude.

Population density > 50%.

Unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and jizya, the tax placed on infidels. As Muslim population levels increase and all infidels cower in submission there will peace at last. Dar al-Islam is achieved and everyone lives under Sharia and the Koran is the only word.

By the way, young people in majority-Muslim countries are leaving Islam behind in droves as well, it's just that conducting religious surveys and related social research is mostly illegal in those countries. Algeria and Morocco are great examples of that, and you'd be shocked by the emptying mosques in Iran. It's not as talked about because they don't convert those into gyms or raze them down for new apartments as we do with churches, they just let them be abandoned and pretend like nothing is happening.

So, increasing irreligiosity isn't a western phenomenon and there isn't a "wave of Islam" out there waiting to swallow the West whole as soon as we look away for one second. That's complete nonsense mentality that doesn't belong in this millennium. It's usually employed by right-wingers who are freaking out and have no other arguments to make as to why they should get elected.
