House GOP Blames Campus Unrest on Foreigners - Wants to Probe Student Visas and Deport Agitators

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-Butcher Holler), who chairs the House Education Committee, is eager to dig into the latest campus protests and find a way to blame it on foreigners. She's been after student visas for years, and never misses an opportunity to link ANY educational issue to a surplus of brown-skinned beauties in America.

Foxx is also widely known for claiming - in front of the boy's mother - that Matthew Shepard was killed during a botched sex-for-drugs encounter, and wasn't hate-crimed. She grew up in a house without indoor plumbing or mirrors, and it shows.

Ms. Foxx looks like one of the cast members from "The Hills Have Eyes."

With a poor economy and the Biden Administration opening the H1B Visa program farther than it should be opened, she’s probably taking a retaliatory stance.

by Anonymousreply 3May 1, 2024 5:22 PM

Would you believe she has a PhD from Chapel Hill?

by Anonymousreply 4May 1, 2024 5:25 PM

She’s from butcher holler, how can you take her seriously?

by Anonymousreply 5May 1, 2024 5:27 PM

Isn't that what the murderer confessed?

Do I have a problem with radical Muslims with terrorist ties being kicked out of the country? No, I do not.

by Anonymousreply 7May 1, 2024 5:48 PM

[quote]House GOP Blames Campus Unrest on Foreigners

As some here regularly blame everything on Russia and Putin.

by Anonymousreply 8May 1, 2024 5:53 PM

It certainly wouldn’t surprise me to learn that a lot of these protests were organized outside of the country using social media to rile up college kids.

by Anonymousreply 9May 1, 2024 5:55 PM

They love our money and not our values. It’s that simple.

by Anonymousreply 10May 1, 2024 5:55 PM

"Do I have a problem with radical Muslims with terrorist ties being kicked out of the country? No, I do not."

Do I have a problem with fake Xtian Nationalists armed to the teeth and eagerly awaiting Armageddon and eager to kill anyone who does not agree with them and desirous of installing a Xtian theocracy, being tried, jailed and kicked out of the country? Absolutely not.

The GDP is growing and unemployment has remained low for years. The economy is going great, even Fox News pundits are admitting it now

What about radical Christian fundamentalists? Virginia Foxx is a far right loony who hates gay people. She is also one of the dumbest members of Congress. Weird to see people here cheering on this mega-cunt

A trip to the grocery store tells a different story. These days you can't even get out of McDonald's for less than $10. The Biden administration wants to piss on everyone's leg and tell them it's raining.

by Anonymousreply 14May 1, 2024 6:15 PM

Agree with R7 and R10. No loss if they get kicked out. Bye, bitch! Go cause trouble some place else.

by Anonymousreply 15May 1, 2024 6:23 PM

And Trump and the Republicans want to take a huge dump on Americans (just like they did 2017 - 2021) and then tell Americans to go fuck themselves, and that Americans should be appreciative of all the crumbs the Republicans toss their way, i.e. the tax cut of 2017, 98% of which benefitted wealthy Republicans and Trump.

by Anonymousreply 16May 1, 2024 6:25 PM

We can't kick out the Christian Nationalists if they are American citizens, but why import more trouble from the Muslim world, especially if they are bringing anti-Western values and antisemitism? Liberals and their need to cape for radical Muslim fundies - it's wild These are the people on campus cheering for Hamas and terrorizing Jewish students.

by Anonymousreply 17May 1, 2024 6:28 PM

[quote]As some here regularly blame everything on Russia and Putin.

And, r8, you're regularly blaming everything on Biden.

Your trolling is amateur-level, r14.

[QUOTE]With a poor economy

Where are you posting from, r3? Do you have any headlines or links about our allegedly woeful economy? Or are you in another country like Argentina?

by Anonymousreply 20May 1, 2024 6:42 PM

R18 Follow the thread idiot.

The discussion is about the house GOP blaming campus unrest on foreigners. I mentioned: just as others blame everything on the Russians and Putin.

Blaming the country's ills on the President is another story....whether it's Biden or Trump, blaming the President is an all-American past time.

by Anonymousreply 21May 1, 2024 6:42 PM

Who is the economy booming for?

The latest NYTimes Siena Poll: 79% Say U.S. Economy Only Fair or Poor (51% rate it at poor)

You are the one who is pathetically out of touch.

CNN latest poll Sun April 28, 2024: "A broad majority of all Americans, 70%, say economic conditions in the US are poor"

It has everything to do with the post at R20.

If president Biden could tax the super wealthy and corporations, then the govt could use that money to improve Americans lives. If you want your life to be improved in a noticeable manner, vote for Joe Biden.

Trump only wants to help the super rich and the corporations. Are you super rich? Are you a corporation? If so, fuck you. Pay your share like before Saint Ronnie fixed everything for you and fucked the rest of us. Seriously, fuck you.

Also, you can want less troublemakers imported who hate America and what we purport to stand for, and still despise Trump with every cell of your body. People who cause more divide and chaos are not needed, thanks. That doesn't solve one damn problem we have.

by Anonymousreply 26May 1, 2024 7:14 PM

GOP is totally full of shit. How convenient is it that the "worst" demonstrations" are happening in NYC and in California? And it has been the red state governors like Abbott and Kemp ordering the most brutal police actions. You take a peaceful rally. Yousend in paid outside agitators ( it's been done for years) and you stir the pot and start getting violent. Encourage others to follow suit.

by Anonymousreply 27May 1, 2024 7:15 PM

Bless your heart, r25, well...why do you bring up the "poor economy" @ r3 when it has zero to do with Virginia's stupidity?

by Anonymousreply 28May 1, 2024 7:38 PM

R28 God you are tedious. I'm not the poster at R3.

by Anonymousreply 29May 1, 2024 7:40 PM

R22, that's because Republicans lie about the economy in polls. When a Dem is in the White House they lie and say the economy is poor, even if it's great. Biden isn't responsible for businesses jacking up their prices. That's corporate greed

by Anonymousreply 30May 1, 2024 7:41 PM

[quote]blaming the President is an all-American past time.

Oh dear, r21.

by Anonymousreply 31May 1, 2024 7:42 PM

Well trump, Johnson and others in the gop, expect a lot of others, jumping into the chaos on campus issue. They will, push the shit out of this.

Which should bring a counter reaction from the protestors. This may get more interesting not less so.

by Anonymousreply 32May 1, 2024 7:48 PM

"We can't kick out the Christian Nationalists if they are American citizens,"

Why not? They're the ones constantly babbling on about law and order (or the lack thereof).

If you want to foment revolution, especially one in the name of the Big Magic Sky Fairy, you takes your chances. And if you lose, you get offed, just like Timothy McVeigh. Better yet, you lose your citizenship, get offed, then have your ashes shipped to some third world shithole where you can wait for the Big Magic Sky Fairy to take you to your forever destination.

by Anonymousreply 33May 1, 2024 7:54 PM

[quote] that's because Republicans lie about the economy in polls.

Pew Research Jan 25 2024: Re: Democrats and the economy: 32% of those with lower incomes view the economy positively, while a majority say it is only fair (40%) or poor (28%).

by Anonymousreply 34May 1, 2024 7:55 PM

Then I suggest you lobby Congress to change the law. Right now you can't deport American citizens who break the law. You can deport people here on visas who are breaking laws and giving material support to terrorist organizations.

R35: another tough on crime bullshit artist, until the criminal is R35 and his ilk.

Just like Donald Trump and the Republicans: they're all tough on crime until they're the actual criminals (which is often).

Donald Trump in the courtroom last week, whining: "it's too cold in here."

by Anonymousreply 36May 1, 2024 8:40 PM

The foreigners aren't the ones causing the problems or getting arrested. It's Timmy and Tammy Trust Fund, dumping their Ivy League study habits to cosplay as revolutionaries before finals week.

Foreign students work their asses off to get here, and most of them have a dozen family members back home who work THEIR asses off just to send this one person to college in America. They come here and pay outrageous international tuition (usually in cash, because they can't get student loans or grants), work like slaves for dick-nose academics, keep their heads down, and do more homework in a night than Whitey does in a week.

They've earned their place here more than most US-born college students. But try telling that to Virginia from the Hag Shop.

[quote]Foreign students work their asses off to get here, and most of them have a dozen family members back home who work THEIR asses off just to send this one person to college in America.

That’s not entirely true. At 9/11, Osama bin Laden’s children were in American colleges. There are a lot rich foreign students.

by Anonymousreply 38May 1, 2024 11:19 PM

Any foreign student who can pay $400K (or higher) for a 4 year degree isn't poor.

[quote]House GOP Blames Campus Unrest on Foreigners

So does Eric Adams:

"New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York Police Department officials told reporters that protesters at Columbia University were being influenced by outside individuals, part of a movement "globally" to "radicalize young people" - ABC News

by Anonymousreply 40May 2, 2024 12:11 AM

At almost every other encampment about half or more of the protesters arrested haven't been students. Why would Columbia be any different?

by Anonymousreply 41May 2, 2024 12:15 AM

The people who have been arrested for organizing the protests are not students. They aren't "foreign immigrants" either. They're paid agitators who probably want to recreate January 6th. They have hit NYC and L.A. both of those are cities with the perception of a large JEwish population. Emory University in Atlanta has a substantial Jewish history. The GOP anti semites are at it again. Trying to muddy things up and Blame Joe except they can only muster a few hundred people at a time, despite vigorous propaganda efforts with a complicit media.

Well this dumbass from Cornell is foreign and his visa is in jeopardy. Cornell gave him a deal - take the incomplete for the semester and stop with the encampment stuff or get suspended and visa goes bye bye. He picked door number 2. Nobody here will miss him.

by Anonymousreply 45May 2, 2024 12:50 AM

R44 So Momodou gets to go back to his home country (The Gambia) and tell his parents that everything they poured into getting him into Cornell University and a student visa to be educated in the United States was all for nothing. He might've become a dentist, or an economics professor, or a systems engineer. He might've been able to put down roots in the US and build a life for himself here.

But he threw it all away protesting in Ithaca fucking New York on behalf of people who neither know nor care what he thinks of their current struggle.

by Anonymousreply 46May 2, 2024 4:21 PM

He won’t go back, r46.

Like tens of thousands of others here on student visas, he’ll just stay illegally. Probably start some phone scam or work a service job somewhere, but he isn’t going back to that shithole.

They never do.

by Anonymousreply 47May 2, 2024 5:11 PM

He won't go back. He's dug in like a tick sucking the county's blood to sustain himself with his minimum effort, at least he is under Biden.

by Anonymousreply 48May 2, 2024 5:51 PM

Virginia Foxx is as old as Biden. She needs to retire already.

by Anonymousreply 49May 2, 2024 5:56 PM

Nice try. Their names have already been released. They’re all students.
