That was absolutely amazing footage. The only thing that could make it better would be Katharine Hepburn riding shotgun and shouting, "DEB-ree! DEB-ree!"

Okay. I’ll stop bitching about Oregon weather. But only until we have The Big One and the resulting tsunami destroys everything on the coast.

Then I’ll brace for being told as I am in mid-complaint, that earthquakes and tsunamis are not, strictly speaking, “weather.”

I always have to turn off the sound watching these because the chasers’ excitement and comments are so lame.

In the last months of ninth grade, my civics teacher’s house was demolished by a tornado and his grade book thrown to the winds. Practically everyone was overjoyed because it was decided that we would all get A’s.

A week later it was found in perfect condition three miles away from the house in the middle of a cow pasture.

How’s come you never see cows or cars or people flying around in those things like in movies? It’s always just wood debris and siding.
