Why do Gay Republicans claim Republicans love gays and are the reason we have our rights?

Republicans have never stopped expressing homophobic beliefs yet gay Republicans always play blind and clueless and act like they don’t know why anyone would vote Democrat, especially gay people. Ben Shapiro is blatantly homophobic here and many agree with him, yet gay Republicans are still claiming he’s a major minority, Republicans are why we have the right to be married etc.

It’s so bizarre to me.

Beats me, however the Republican Party is headed by a lot of delusional closet-cases. Ask Miss Lindsey Belle herself.

He looks embalmed.

I don’t get gays who defend Republicans, transgenderism, Christianity, or Islam. All are homophobic. Beyond homophobic.

Majority of younger Republicans support gay marriage.

Why are Republicans so homophobic? Here in Norway we have a Christian Democratic Party. The leader is a Christian but is very gay friendly and pro-gay. She even apologized on the behalf of the Church's discrimination of gays in the past. She said the political party is open to everyone, also gays and lesbians.

Here is the leader of the Christian party apologizing for how the party has treated gays in the past.

From an outside (European) perspective, I've come to the conclusion that the best explanation for the US's bizarre politics is this:

Republicans are a cult of demonic, hell-bound, sadistic, psychopathic, drug-addicted devil-worshipers whose virtues are the seven deadly sins. They cheat, lie, rape, abuse, and DARVO, just because they can. They hate themselves and everyone around them and lash out constantly. They want to see the world burn because they derive pleasure and nourishment from other's suffering and despair.

R4 but the old folks they elect don't, so the effect is the same as if they didn't.

They sold out to the NRA and the evangelicals. Where are the reasonable people with the same fervor of those two groups? It has been Republican administrations that caused lasting change, gays would say damage: Reagan changed America irrevocably, then it changed again with W and 9/11, and once more with Trump. Things were lost that we'll never get back.

Some queens are just label whores. They equate Republicans with a luxury brand. The racism doesn't hurt either

by Anonymousreply 9May 5, 2024 6:27 PM

Isn’t Ben Shapiro the one who doesn’t understand female orgasms?

At this point, conservatives have developed the ability to rationalize to the point of delusion. If they saw Donald Trump in person taking a piss on the 9/11 memorial, they would swear on their children's lives it was actually Joe Biden.

You can't reason with these people. No amount of concrete evidence, brilliant oration, or pleas for compassion will sway them from their literal mindless devotion to the cause. We have no option other than to vote blue up and down the ballot in huge numbers. Despite any resentments or disagreements we may have amongst ourselves, we can't afford to lose a single vote to "principle" or "sending a message." The house is on fire; let's put the fire out before we argue about what color to paint the walls.

Have you seen the Proud Boys? They all look like they're auditioning for gay porn. My belief is that these closet cases really enjoy the thrill of illicit sex, they wpould prefer it be taboo rather than try to deal with their own realities
